There's a few manufacturers who make chargers with the ports facing the floor, such as this one[amazon.com]. Much better design IMO. More flush against the wall so it will fit behind the bed/nightstand easier (and without squishing the cables). Weight is closer to the wall which means less leverage against the AC prongs. I wish more manufacturers would get on board.
The other option is just an AC cord and a charging station that sits on your desk/nightstand, like this one.[amazon.com]

not all of us enjoy writing essays, good communication is succinct. I had hoped that the terms "phones and tablets", 'combined', the plus (+) symbol would have indicated that i am specifically talking about the use case where we are utilizing both the ports, wherein you cannot expect super fast charging.which would explain the discount, since majority of people are charging multiple devices.
