One available near me for this price. I was waiting for a ryobi set with similar tools and price. Is kobalt better for home user? Feel like more tool options with ryobi.

I have both Kobalt and Ryobi. Kobalt feels slightly beefier/stronger to me. And generally their tools have slightly higher power ratings. If I had to pick one, I would go with Ryobi because their tools are plenty powerful and durable, plus Ryobi has a much broader tool lineup and there are more Ryobi deals that come along. Kobalt does have a great warranty though (IIRC it's longer than Ryobi).
This was BF pricing. I missed out but looks like they are back at same price under clearance this time around. Probably because Lowes is Killing off their kobalt lineup and replacing it with craftsman.
Just got into woodworking about a year ago and it started with this kit. Have been extremely impressed any time I've ever tried to push the tools. Their line hasn't added every tool yet (nailers really being the main one I can think of) but they're pretty extensive. If you're just starting out, this is a great set.
I also have since bought the random orbital sander, I small blower and 3 fans (1 regular, 2 misting). All the tools feel solid and have a great weight.
I've already been daydreaming and watching for the XTR bundle to drop in price so I can add even more. Of course, it's hard still to justify doubling up on some tools at this point in my journey as well.

I've got the entire B&D/Matrix 20V line, and I'm not sure if this is enough of an upgrade to justify the price.
BUT I got one anyway. (Buy 1st, Think 2nd). Can always return, if needed.
