Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.
Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.
I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.
Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

Have you tried a fake name & address with the prepaid? It's not like the prepaid is fool proof if you didn't buy it somewhere with no cameras & use cash & a disguise.
Your next best bet is paying for a service with bitcoin.
