Note: This one supports only USB-C. There's no HDMI option. There's no external power input. Will only work with USB devices that can provide power and can provide DisplayPort over USB-C. Not Thunderbolt.

You can buy generic versions of these for $100 on ebay, saw a couple in the amazon warehouse 20% off for less

They do seem to have a version with dual USB-C and micro HDMI as well as battery inside

also as for this I1601FWUX model with only USB-C input: If you have thunderbolt 3 or 4, it will work with this model.
I have a XPS13 from the end of 2019 (TB3 port) and it works perfectly fine
DP Alt mod is part of the Thunderbolt 3 and 4 standard as well

for around or little above this price, go with one that has hdmi, which allows connection to RPi, switch, ... If you know for sure you only need to connect to computer with usb-c then this is ok

I recently bought the Lepow portable 15.6 monitor. It has USB C and mini HDMI input. It also has an additional USB C port for external power. It works well with my HP windows laptop using USB-C. The brightness/contrast is a little off when I use it with my Macbook Pro, but it is still works.
It's for $188 on amazon and there is a $30 off coupon.

For $30 more get a touchscreen capability and addition of mini-HDMI. And yes, stereo speakers, too. Applause Did anybody notice that the OP's model does not offer speakers?
