I got the one from Costco for $352.00 (after coupon purchase and using Chase Freedom)

But this does look decent for a work station... just not as good as the Costco deal... which I think is better.

If your video card is a gen or two back and you still want a big ass Ultrawide that's slightly over 60 this is it. If I still had my 1070 I would have never upgraded from this screen.

Why? Could work quite well in a dual monitor setup with both screens split or one full and the other split like the UMP-line, right?

need atleast a 1440p vertical to make it usable otherwise everything will look huge like grandmas computer

This is basically a wider 27" 1080p monitor. Pixel peepers think a 27" 1080p monitor is unusable, but it really isn't for most people. I have a 27" 1080p monitor that I use daily. I don't sit that far from it and it works fine. If you were into gaming, I would pass due to the refresh rate, but for most anything else (beside 4k video editing) it will be fine. If you go bigger, you should probably jump up to at least 1440p or 4k, but don't let the pixel peepers convince you it isn't a solid option.

No, but 1080 vertical resolution is probably smaller than you'll want if you need to look at large spreadsheets, and 1440 monitors aren't much more than this.
