I bought mine when it was this price last time. Also scored the deal for the m12 screwdriver for $50. I gave the m12 away as a gift because this drill blows the m12 away. Way more power, 2 speed settings, changable heads. The part that sold me the most, you can use regular 1 inch bits in the drill as long as no head is attached.

Milwaukee has a very similar tool but the forward/reverse selector is an electronic switch on top. It would have frustrated me. I have to deal with mismatched batteries because all my other tools are Milwaukee but im fine with that

Have one from previous deal and have owned many of this smaller line from bosch since the packs were "9.6v" (of which the units are interchangeable between 9.6 and 12 /shrug).

This little guy has power for something so small and can deive a 3" screw if needed -though not for a fence line or a deck, I mean the pack is only the size of 1/2 a banana Smilie. That said, great price, awesome versatility, and the creme de la creme is that offset chuck. Being able to get to within 3/8"-1/2" of a surface and drive a fastener - or if you have hex shank drill bits drill a hole - can be game changing.

This is the one my wife reaches for when she needs to use a driver. And as a self-confessed tool junky, there are *cough* a lot of great options that are charged and accessible in my shop. Good torque, great control, comfortable size for any hand, and at this price a gooddeal.

Also, like so many drill sets these days, the bosch is a system. The other tool from this line to set an alert for (though I do not recall ever seeing it on sale) would be the right angle unit.

Yep, I have a pretty big set of 18V Makita tools. I keep these Bosch 12V in the house, they are great. One of the best values in tools IMO.

I have the M12 Milwaukee due to the breadth of tools but this was a strong option.
