Anyone that ordered this actually has received the laptop yet? Other than only one post that said the shipping time is now 5 weeks (?)

Which lead to the question if this is a reliable company? It is like their ABOUT US page contain no information at all. While they ask to pay with cash (for discount) which offer no protection. Not to mention non of the product page has in-stock/pre-order/etc status and checkout page don't indicate the estimate ship date, etc.

People mining on this should make sure it's on a laptop stand so it can breath, better if it has a usb fan under it as well. Have my 2060 gateway paying for itself right now.
Fold it into an inverted V and let it stand. that's about as good as it gets.

I emailed them a couple times and Ken replied really fast.
I do not know about product quality, but otherwise I think they are doing real business.

Emailed the vendor about the ETA on the laptop, they responded it's about 5 weeks since the laptop hasn't been released yet. Just a FYI, I know someone else mentioned earlier.

Do apple laptops have usb 3.2 Gen 2x2 22222222TwoTwo to the Twoth or does literally nobody actually use those ports ? It seems like 20Gb/s USB was supposed to be here ages ago but all the nomenclature changes made it easy for manufacturers to not include and pretend 3.2 Gen 2 was something special

It comes down to whether you can wait a little longer...If you need now right away then get last gen laptops.
If you can wait just 1 or 2 months, maybe longer, then $1400+ may be able to score you an rtx 3070 maxq (or p?) either Intel or Ryzen5800h.
This pre-order deal also requires waiting a month or longer (I'm guessing)...3060 maxp ---not sure how it compares to 3070...(but initial reviews showed 3070 not much faster than 2070, since mobile gpus are much different from desktop versions, maybe 3060 max p is between a 2070 maxq and 2070 super)

You can always wait 1-4 longer and get something better/cheaper.

Just throwing this out there as a PSA: 3060 gpus are going to get a driver update that kills hash rates.

If you're running a dual boot for a mining OS this may not matter (unless they push a vbios update, but there's been no indication of that yet)

Only for the desktop 3060. They're not gonna retroactively nerf GPUs that were released earlier (mobile 3060,3070, desktop 3060ti,3070, etc.)

Why aren't more high end laptops 2560x1440? Seems like they jump from 1080p straight to 4K. I get that high of a PPI is important for a phone where you hold it close to your face but who puts a laptop 12 inches from your face? What a collosal waste of battery power to drive those pixels.

stop reporting as if you're getting USD outta mining crypto. You need to factor in tax filing too.

Also, here's some advice. People who are buying laptops for mining not only they are stressing the hardware which it never intended to but also hoping to ROI in few months is quite far fetched.
Ethereum mining profits won't be steady for several months. Yes you would get hit your ROI but not what the calculator says it would be.
You see people will keep adding hardware and raise the difficulty.

ETH rewards dropped from Dec end from 0.145552 to 0.102418 for 100 MHs. That's a 35% reduction in rewards with block rewards fixed at 2. I haven't even calculated the difficulty jump in month of Feb.
ETH block rewards are 2 + XYZ (this keeps changing based on transaction volume). Right now this XYZ factor is high because of lot of traffic on eth blockchain.
Now even with the hardware shortages you see a difficulty climb. In a month or two the difficulty will catch up some ASICs being already around the market (not public).

Be aware of these before you make a decision in buying hardware for crypto mining.

EDIT: Just did a quick math. We are down by 42% in ETH rewards since Dec (for the fixed block rewards of 2)

EDIT2: EIP-1559 is confirmed. ETH rewards would be reduced.
