About this item:
Surround yourself with powerful sound while gaming with these SteelSeries Arctis 9X wireless headphones. The ClearCast noise-canceling microphone eliminates background noise for clear sound pickup while chatting with friends on the battlefield, and Bluetooth connectivity means you can mix in audio from another device. Xbox compatibility lets you connect these SteelSeries Arctis 9X wireless headphones like controllers, eliminating dangling cables during sessions. Compatible with Xbox One and Next-Gen Xbox, PC, and Bluetooth Capable Mobile Phones.
I got it last week from the same seller. The item came with cables and the manual, but no box. It looks completely new and I have had no connectivity issues. I am very happy with my purchase especially since it has the two year warranty.
FYI, the item came shipped from Newegg.

Damn, I recently purchased a new 7X for the same price to use with my PS5/XSX. Still not sure about getting refurbished headphones, but the warranty is nice.

You made the right choice. From what I understand, the 9X uses Xbox's proprietary wireless tech, which is prone to periodic disconnects. That's the main reason I went with the 7X over the 9X.

Thank you! I just did some research on the 9X which fully aligns with what you're saying.
I purchased one from this seller and it arrived yesterday. It came bubble wrapped in a plain cardboard box with just a manual and a charging cable. It works fine so far. I played about 3 hours of Witcher 3 on an Xbox Series X and and about 3-4 instances of the audio cutting out for about 3 seconds. This was after updating the firmware. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and it beats the crap out of my old Logitech wired headset I bought for ~$30.

9x is a proprietary wireless connection to xbox (same as with controller) and simultaneously connected to phone or pc via Bluetooth. You can hear both Bluetooth and Xbox game audio, and Xbox party chat all at the same time. When someone calls your Bluetooth connected phone, it will just lower the game audio and let you take the phone call via the headset too. Got one for my Xbox upstairs in my office so I don't have to repair when I switch xboxes.

You are right. I have used my 9x for a few months now and at least once a day I get sound stuttering when playing Xbox One X and get also disconnected once in a while. Have to turn the headset off and back on (while trying not to die or hear footsteps on cod). Steel Series blames Microsoft. They might be right since when I tried the Xbox Series X it was way worse. But my controllers would disconnect also. So I am using my older Xbox until they work out some stuff first.
When I contacted Steel Series they gave me a list of things to do ... restart and reset everything and move away from everything wireless. Oh and move away from smart Thermostats too LOL. So build a new house with the game room on one side of the house and the router/modem on the opposite side and have a 50-100 foot cord running to the Xbox. (Oh don't forget the Thermostat has to be on the other end too so prepare to freeze or die of heat issues while playing cod or something lol)

EDIT: Nvm looks like it's direct blutooth connection to the Xbox so no way this works with PS5
