I was looking to keep shoes dry from wet, short grass, while playing disc golf. I didn't need protection from. Puddles, downpours, etc. You still think this same logic applies?

I really want to buy a pair of these, but in Adidas website, there's mixed messages about sizing and Olympia doesn't offer free returns.

How much better are these than the Terrex Two that Costco has for $30? is the main difference the water proofing? worth $20 more for these goretex versions?

Goretex on low-top shoes like this is kinda useless--sometimes it just traps the water and sweat inside and makes things worse. Most people prefer wool socks and mesh uppers that will get wet but very quickly and easily dry if you're moving.

Yeah this is probably great then for more casual use. It's more for the hiker and trail runner crowd that spend hours and days in wet shoes that the goretex vs. no goretex issue comes up.

I have a pair of adidas Altera? low top with goretex and I like them a lot for keeping feet dry when walking through low grass with dew. It is nice for that.

I have the previous version, goretex is very useful for my daily 5k trek through mud, light snow, shallow puddles they have become my go to shoes for any off road and even for vacation travel (back when that was a thing) as I only ever bring one pair of shoes and these (in black) can do anything
