I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

I have done a lot of $150 or $200 back with $500 spends, but check out this hilarious offer I got in the mail now.... It says spend $1,500 in 3 months to get a whole $100 back. I forget which bank it's from.

You seem to be the only honest one in this thread. I have a Quicksilver card. I got it around 2017. Back then it seems the average opening line of credit was $5000-10K. I heard a few people say they got an opening line of 12k. If someone has an 800+ FICO score they would not get a 1k line of credit. Considering your credit line during covid is $7500 with a 780 FICO. That is pretty good.
A power play move would be to max out your line and pay it off at the end of the month. Maybe do it a couple of times and say nothing and see if they increase your credit line.
That Dave Ramsey guy has quite the following. None of his followers can rent a car or hotel after cutting their credit cards.
I have a 770 score, just finished a refi right before applying for this card and got instant approval for 10k limit. I have 2 other CO cards as well (not sure if that is a factor)
I pay my balances in full every month on all of my cards so it seems to me that CO is looking at more than just your credit scores

I love the emails ebay sends to me claiming I could get $25 back with $250 spend
I know the spend is low but $25 is definitely not worth the pull
They gave me a chance 2 years ago with Journey card, then QuickSilver credit increased after I had asked. I wanted more for a vacation trip they gave me second card for World-elite higher limit. I only issue with the cash back on both cards is different. I don't see the option in Amazon Prime use the cash back only with the QuickSilver.I've max out both cards overlimit when I paid both off in full and that made the balance over couple K had to return good number items I had deem crap from Amazon. Right now credit score is Good to very good so that's not bad. I use to have over 938 score a few years back.
Or you can be a responsible adult and not go on a spending spree. Instead, take advantage of the offer by using the card for your everyday purchases.
I haven't spent one cent in interest on any CC in at least 3 or 4 years. I keep getting all of these bonuses and then not giving them any interest money. lol.
On this one I hate to even apply, sicne so kany say theyw ere turned down with over 800 scores, though.
I wonder if the fact that I received an email straight from them trying to get me to get the card means I am more liekly to get it. I got an email from chase about the sapphire card that had tons of cash back and claimed I was pre-approved and they then rejected me. lol. They shouldn't be sending emails trying to entice you and then turn you down.
I have this card and quite pleased with the service and the app they have. I have had them for a super long time now 10+ years and interest is reasonable to many other cards, 13.49% IMO is lower then 3 of my other cards which are close to 20%. I use this for day to day stuff like charge stations for my EV and online purchases.
My other cards range from $10K to $20K, I've had this for 15+ years and I'm currently at a whopping $2500 credit limit.
Quicksilver has been my go to card for several years. I have zero complaints of approvals, credit limits or even customer service. I have only had to contact them one or two times in my history with them. We put all of our daily purchases on this card and usually pay for Christmas gifts with their cash back system.
Amazon recently linked where you can buy directly from amazon with your CO points, pretty slick.

Is 938 a good credit score?
A credit score of 721-880 is considered fair. A score of 881-960 is considered good. ... A credit score of 604-627 is good.
That comes from google. I was told my score was excellent when I had 938, I could have anything I want. Back then I had carried 16 CC tititan/gold and one PAMEX. Yes they made wallets that can carry so many. I only need 2 and I don't want 16. I could buy a new car with the CC only and I did that no money just CC. Today they have a lot restrictions.
On Monday this past one a friend should me his score was 793 he was bragging about. But he has to work crazy hours to pay back the loan money.
I have never heard of a 938 score, credit scores only go up to 850, FICO auto goes to 900, there is no 938 score
I love how the only site that claims a 938 is possible is a single site that does not look very professional.
From a legit site: https://www.credit.com/credit-sco...dit-score/
Generally, the credit bureaus consider anything over 670 a good credit score.
If your score is 671 or higher, you're doing fairly well. The best credit score and the highest credit score possible is 850 for both FICO® and VantageScore models. FICO considers a score between 800 and 850 to be "exceptional," while VantageScore considers a score above 780 to be "excellent." It's possible to get an 850 credit score, but it's tough to achieve
