I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

They have it available with visa and Mastercard. I have this card and a regular CO that they offered a free I upgrade to make it rewards capable and now i have 2 quicksilver cards. One Visa, one Mastercard
Can we call to say we want the Visa option, or is it too late?
One reason is that it has no foreign transaction fee, if you travel internationally. (or at least plan to after the pandemic)
This, i leave my Citi Double Cash World Elite card at home when I travel. It's a "World Elite" card with 3% foreign transaction fee lol. Also i never had Quicksilver declined cause of a false fraud alert, it's my #1 go-to card mostly for that reason.

you travel enough to care about foreign transaction fees but still use a 1.5% cash back card?
Travel cards, with no FTFs, offer much higher reward rates for those who actually travel.

I have other cards, but if I'm on a beer run in Nairobi and theres a long line at the grocery store, I whip it out because it just works and I'm in a hurry. My other cards love to get declined for fraud alert at the most inconvenient times. It's the most reliable card i have is what i was meaning to convey.

My FICO was 690 or something close with a bankruptcy and I was approved. Small limit, but it's a start.

They have two one has no annual fee and the other does. the one with an annual fee doesn't need excellent credit.
they look at your credit and decide which one you get
Exact same thing for me. Screw Capital One...

I set the Bank of America to get back 3% on online purchases and will use that card for all online purchases and go back to using the citi 2% on all other purchases and all but set the Capital One card aside
Workin the system!
I do pretty much the exact same thing.. BofA and CO combo for various CB
Not true, but my Fico score is (was) over 850. Don't know if having accts in their banks help? Their savings rate is .4%

I think they just upgrade whatever the existing card is
