If the answer is yes, this is a good deal.
If the answer is no, this is not a good deal.
3090s are not hard to find. Believe it or not, there isn't a line of people who want to pay 100% more than a 3080 for 5% more performance.
Lol hello from the future. Yes we do. 200% actually.
HP has already cost me $500+ in mining profits with their delay, so unless they offer a nice discount (which I'm sure they won't) I will surely be cancelling.
Lol expert minor
Lol congrats smart guy. I'm sure you got yours on time. Forget those who ordered in feb.
You guys messing around with HP must enjoy getting jerked around.
For those of you keeping track of your own orders. Mine was delayed twice.
Originally Ordered 2/16
Confirmed Delivery 4/6 - expected 4/9
It's okay, I placed another order for 3070's and got cash back using the same coupon, so they went back and retroactively gave me the points from previous purchase.
So after I sell the parts, I end up paying less than retail for both 3090's. Good luck getting a deal even remotely close to that over the next year 😆
The backplate is attached to the front but there is no actual heat pipes to move heat off the back vram chips. It'll thermal-throttle itself at 110C. The GPU fans are only attached on the bottom side, the backplate it self is only thing passively "cooling" the back plate vram.
This is only a mining use case issue, sucky thing is the back plate isn't smooth, otherwise it would be easy to attach some heatsinks to it. The fans I stack to the rear hole are forcing cool air through the vram to keep them between 94-100c.
Hey im in the same boat, do you have a pic of your setup? What additional fans are you using? What hash rate you getting?
