I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.
Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.
7 replacements? Your persistence is commendable.

What did you say? The agents getting keep pulling up the deal page and telling me liquid cooling isn't included on the 2/11 deal
I just told them that my friend got a deal for 1230 with liquid cooling. If the agent said he couldn't do it I end the chat and start again.

Is the cyberpower i7 10700f with 3060 ti a better pc at $1249 or this Alienware with the amd and 3070 in this deal better? Seems amd cpu isn't as good as Intel in user benchmark? I ordered both want to know which one to keep?

as mentioned by others it seems they now have a standard response across the board. You can get the deal early as listed for 1229 but the water cooling is $50 extra and the wifi killer card is an extra $20. I placed an order for total 1299.99 + taxes. They mentioned to me that the earlier deals that others mentioned were no longer available and that this was the new standard.

I wonder if they will do a price correction once the price drops to 1199 on the base unit?

thanks for heads up about the chat early access! thinking it might be hard to snag once the sale starts?
if the site doesnt crash on the 11th im going to try and order another one and cancel the 1st order. I forgot to checkout using a cashback website (4%)

The Alienware has the faster GPU but the Cyberpower will be easier to upgrade in the future if that matters to you.

All of them are now telling me the "Finance Team" is disallowing this and rejecting this deal.
Now the only deal you can get is $1,229.99 for the doorbuster deal, $50 additional for the liquid cooling. Total $1,279.99

Not giving up. Got time on my hands. Will call over and over.
That's what they gave me. Initially said it would be just $30 more, then came back and said he was wrong, its $50 more on top. I also upgraded to a Killer Wifi 6 card for $30 more. $1427 shipped. I don't care, I took it.

I will try like every other normie (lol) tomorrow for the $1200 price. If I get it, great. If I don't, $1310 before tax for a Wifi 6 version is still a Slick Deal these days!

The Intel chip is 8% faster: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...3814vs4043

The 3070 is 7% faster than the 3060-Ti: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...4083vs4090

The thing to really consider is that the GPU won't be bottle-necked by either CPU so your max gaming performance will truly reside in which one has the better GPU... That is the Alienware.

anyone have any luck with the rep downgrading to just buying the 3070 and leaving the middling components? I would just be sticking this card in a eGPU and don't have any need for the desktop itself

Yeah, I've had 3 mainboard swaps in my r15 laptop, I'll never buy dell again.
I got a M13 in 2013 and a r15 in 2016 and have had zero issues with both. Awesome machines. Got my kids Alienware Steam machines in 2015, they're still running strong today.

I got an HP laptop, Z1000 I believe... Turns out they overclocked the GPU and it unsoldered itself from the motherboard. I spoke to an HP Rep I worked with at a government agency, he said their consumer products are garbage and he worked a deal to replace it with a compaq. Had a business class GPU... Didn't work well for gaming. I'll never buy HP again.

Pull the 3070. Sell on eBay or FBM for ~$800. Add my GTX1060 until the 3000 series comes back down to earth.

~$400 for a 3700X system to replace my i5-7400??
Sounds like a steal! Wink
If you mine with this you get $8/day, yeah, they will gladly buy it off you and make bank.

No dude... this deal is for an entire computer you cant just pick and chose what you want.
Else they'd be sold out of these RTX 3070s....

Right now you can get $8 a day mining with a 3070., power usage is like 31 cents day.

Literal money printer. Been mining with my 3080 and its been getting me $12+ a day alone and my 1660 Ti laptop, around $4 a day,

They are refusing to sell for $1199. Not for $1230

via Chat was able to get what looks to be the exact system, with CPU water cooling for 1229 + tax etc. It would go in as a custom order, shipping March 29th. The 2/11 deal is a "doorbuster" which is prebuilt and ready to ship. I will hold the quote for now and try for the 'buster.

not at all familiar with how to make a computer generate $4-12 a day, I just want to use it to power my ultrabook for gaming. But just asking since people were able to modify it for better ram, water cooling etc.
