The white Powecom masks were tested by NIOSH/NPPTL 10x with 10 masks in each batch, test results can be found here [cdc.gov] which shows that they have well over 95% efficiency. These were TESTED but not APPROVED by NIOSH as the approval process is different and more complicated.

Note that the testing done is only for the filter material, and does not account for proper fit. Many people may have difficulty achieving a proper fit/seal with the ear loop design which is why NIOSH Approved N95 masks all have the head band design. Bonefide does offer the head band design [bonafidemasks.com] which likely fits better.
Aaron Collins [yahoo.com], a mechanical engineer with a master's thesis on aerosols, has done his own aerosol testing with Powecom earloop masks and he did get over 97% efficiency [google.com] with the mask on his face.

The nose wire works well and we all felt we could get a decent though uncomfortable seal going. Materials seem legit. Overall would only recommend this if you don't have other n95 or better masks or you need backups

Office Depot is no longer on that list but you can an old version of the page on Jan 28 from Wayback Machine [archive.org].
In another thread, someone posted photos of their Office Depot Powecom masks and they looked exactly like the masks that were listed as counterfeit by the CDC [cdc.gov].
These masks [cdc.gov] tested by the CDC are legit, notice how the design of the lines on the mask are different.
As I've said before, I teach in Powecoms and get a good seal from them (headband-style), but I use N95s for errands/grocery runs.

This is exactly the kind of mask that we all ought to be using. At this price, there's no reason to bother with makeshift cloth masks or so-called "surgical" masks, few of which have any sort of data to prove effectiveness.
For anyone curious on how these masks manage to filter such fine particles, this video is very interesting:

Looking at the min/max filter efficiency 93.19/94.87 on the counterfeit ones, would you say they are similar to other n95 (but not niosh rated) masks you've looked into?
