Target.com just priced matched for in-store pickup via online chat. I added the product to my cart, opened chat, provided cart #, explained that the Walmart mobile app shows the in-store price of $49.94 and after a couple minutes the rep came back saying price match was approved.. Also got 5% with RedCard so cheaper than Walmart by $3.

Rep will tell you to place the order online, then will credit order $10 partial refund.

This is of course YMMV as experience from agent to agent may differ from past experiences.

Subtotal $59.99
Discounts -$13.00
Partial refund -$10.00
RedCard 5% Discount -$3.00
Tax $4.45
Total $51.44

Walmart app shows $59.99. So basically you lied and were lucky the agent didn't verify.
I checked it is $49.94 if the store has stock

As of now, this is a way to get the lowest price on this product, $13 off MSRP, and Red Card is not un-obtainable. Hence, YMMV in the title.

You're wrong, you need to look at in-store price on the app, not the product page. You do this by clicking "Options" where it shows your default store on the product page. It will show you the in-store price which is $10 cheaper most of the time on games. No lies were committed, I'm simply setting this up for a curbside pickup and $3 less than Walmart's in-store price. Might have been able to achieve the same in store, but sometimes Target does not give you the 5% Red Card discount when PM'd in store, which a lot of people claim is a theft in itself as 5% should always come off the purchase price like other credit cards offer.

I did the Walmart pricematch in-store at Target so I could get the free water bottle.

The Walmart App will show $49.94 if you tap on "Options" in the "Available Now" section which shows all your local stores and the $49.94 pricing.

Yes, click options on the product page next to your default Store. It will show you the in-store prices at all local walmarts in your area which is $49.94.

Is this what you told the agent to do? In my experience they won't give you anything if the price isn't right on the product page of the competitor website or in an ad circular. Don't get me wrong... if this actually works that's pretty cool. I hate going to Walmart to get the $10 off new games. Just didn't know there was a way to price match since they deliberately don't advertise to keep people from price matching.

Yes, I put it in the OP but this is what I did.

I added the product to my cart, opened chat, provided cart #, explained that I had a product in my cart which was cheaper and showing in-stock at the store on the Walmart mobile app $49.94 and after a couple minutes the rep came back saying price match was approved.

Whether the agent checked or not, was proficient on how to use the Walmart app to check this, or already had pre-approval to give a PM in that circumstance, I'm not sure.

I think we should agree all "in store price match" posts should be blocked from posting. SlickDeals needs a filter to stop them. I know you put YMMV, but price matching is common sense for that abbreviation.

I don't know if it's safe to assume any of that based on the comments in this post so far, seems like people are very un-aware of how to check prices in-store on Walmart app and how to get a PM through Target.com. Additionally, the post was more to let people know that they can get the game for $3 less than Walmart if they also have the Red Card which a lot of people do. Sorry if this does not fit your needs or unable to replicate, but that is why I prefaced this with YMMV, so people know this may not work for them. If you know of another way to get this for $46.99 please let us know. Another deal for Best Buy coupon of $10 that not everyone got, did not say YMMV, only brings the product to the price of the Walmart in-store price got like 86 thumbs up and is much less reproducible or a deal than this would be.

Thank you. I was able to get a partial refund for my preorder. I took a screenshot of the app and shared the link.

Yep! 49.94 in my area too. Wish I had thought of this yesterday when I used my $5 circle rewards and 5% off with red card.
