As a dual max owner that has them on stereo pairing... I think 2 of these nest audios on stereo would sound nearly if not just as good to most people in most situations. I have a 25 ft cathedral ceiling great room that is quite open and large with 2 Max's in it, and unless you consistently play your music at 80% volume you probably won't be able to tell too much of a difference between the max and these (I also have 2 nest audios). The nest audios sound great and should suffice for most people. Wouldn't worry too much about holding out for the max

I actually returned a pair of these and got the max instead for the garage gym. The max has much deeper bass. These are great sounding but lack that punchy bass to get through an intense workout session.

Received these yesterday and so far I'm completely unimpressed. Hollow sounding treble and lacking sorely in bass.
Cant decide if its worth sending them back or just keep them as expensive nest mini replacements. If you want these as a good pair speakers for music, I would think twice.
