Especially when you consider that in most use cases one of the ports is probably an uplink port to the rest of the network. That only leaves 4 usable ones for actual devices.

If a 5-port does it for you then this is great. However for just a little more you can get one with 8-ports. I always find myself needing more than 5 ports eventually so if you're like me I'd recommend checking out a bigger switch.

Amazon made me rebuy/return a huge 34" computer monitor when they dropped the price $40. I wonder if it's easier to get a credit on smaller price differences.

Just FYI, don't rely on Camel Camel Camel for lowest pricing on this as it goes on sale with coupons which is not reflected. If you search TL-SG105 on Slick Deals, you will find posted dozens of times.

With that said, $13 appears to be lowest price back to 2019. I paid $11 AC in 2019 myself for this.

Switch has worked well, but I invariably always need more ports.

If you push hard enough, they will usually do a price adjustment as a "one-time courtesy".

Agreed, every time I've fielded a 5 port switch it sooner or later got replaced with an 8.

Same, actually the new thing for me is POE. If I only had a POE port I wouldn't need another power strip.
