Still a little solid deal.

Keep in mind Costco included free delivery, install, hoses, hull-away. This alone is worth ~$180 pending which store you go thru.

Just entering the market for a dishwasher, no clue what represents a good deal yeah. Can anyone who has been watching deals for a bit share thoughts on this?

this is a good price, but with install, costco warranty, and haul away it becomes a great price. I wanted a few more features, but wanted to not spend a fortune, so I got a slightly dented one with bottle washers, food grinder, quieter, wifi (not by choice), silverware jets, for $900 at american freight (formerly sears outlet). This is the one I got: https://www.americanfreight.com/br/pdp/ge-profile-series-pdt785synfs-24-dishwasher-w-hidden-controls... [americanfreight.com]

Is this Bosch level good, dishwasher-wise? Why this over this Whirlpool: https://www.costco.com/whirlpool-...82824.html

are you just posting cheaper dishwashers or did you try to compare them? while these features may be negligible, clearly yours has a smaller upper rack, no water filter during wash, no stem holder, no dirtiness sensor, no extended dry option...I mean did you even try to compare, or did you just find a cheaper dishwasher and think "they both have 3 racks and are stainless, must be the same"...

Woah, are you the engineer who designed this dishwasher and are offended that I'm comparing it to a cheaper one?
I'm just asking if those features are worth the extra cost over the cheaper one.

I'm not too sure about that third rack, or at least how they show those mugs and glasses loaded. I'm having trouble understanding how they would get washed well if the water sprayed down or up from the bottom.

I have this exact same model in black stainless that I just got installed in December as part of an entire kitchen remodel.

The 3rd rack has some small jets that point right into the angled mugs and glasses. You can't see them from that picture. The 3rd rack works well enough. I was skeptical at first, but its useful. Glasses that are too tall for the 3rd rack can go in the 2nd rack. Theres still plenty of room.

Overall I'm satisfied. It runs quiet and cleans well enough. I can't compare it to Bosch, but good luck getting a Bosch for this price unless its some open box/floor model at your local store.

Thanks. I was hoping someone would chime in. When you say it cleans, "well enough," do you have to prewash food off the dishes?

This, There is a list of states where installation is not available. I am in OR and it is not available. I got the 604, just waiting for it to be scheduled for delivery.

nah bro, I dgaf about dishwashers, but if you want to ask a question, be specific, "are the features in this washer such as x,y,z that I found worth $x more money". Just saying "why buy x over y" is laziness. I pointed out the major differences. You decide if its worth it.

I can only compare to my old Maytag which was probably installed in 2000 or 2001 (I moved into the house in 2003). The Maytag was pretty loud (I didn't mind) and you definitely had to pre-wash some of the more caked on stains. It was reliable, though, I'll give it that. No repairs or parts replaced in almost 20 years of use (17 under my use) and it never leaked.

I'm actually still in the habit of pre-washing most of my dishes with caked on stains, like oatmeal for example. It's mainly because my dishes can be in the washer for a few days before running it, as I only run when the washer gets completely full. I guess I can try less pre-washing. Last weekend I made mashed potatoes and just threw in the spatula that I used to crush the potatoes (no pre-rinse) with still a good amount of food on it and it turned out clean.

I have the KDTM404KPS, which is very similar. Best dishwasher I have ever had. The "FreeFlex Third Level Rack" makes the third rack actually useful without compromising what can go in the second level rack (well...for the most part.) It's an excellent design. Cleans great. Dries fine. Only lowish point is that the cycle time is longer than we were used to. But that's not a big deal in the end, as there is a quick wash setting if you're in a hurry.
