I own both also and the reason you got so many thumbs down is because you're forgetting about what makes this Samsung so great.
120hz OLED screen with inky blacks.
It destroys the new iPad Air 2020 model screen. 60hz and annoying gray backlight bleed.
You have to go all the way up to an iPad pro to get a comparable screen.
Screens are important since you're staring at that thing 100% of the time.

I would agree in general there are way more apps on the ipad that makes it a better buy but each their own. I carry both an iPhone and a Samsung phone for the reason of apps and I have both an iPad and Samsung tablet. For my use, Samsung , they integrate newer technologies that people actual use in their products faster than Apple. Apple forces you to use their technologies (lighting port, touchbar, butterfly keyboard, itunes, Siri (Samsung's Bixby is actual worst). Look at how long it took Apple to have a menu system that allow you to save something into a folder and be able to access that folder. The Android system ecosystem allowed it from day one.
Used 5% referral, 10% cashback, edu discount and a $50 promo code I got for not cancelling my S21 order to get price of Silver 128GB S7+ to around $400 + tax. I don't need the extra 2GB ram or more space. Will they give 10% refund through chat for not cancelling?
The credit applied was way higher than the coupon's worth and not sure why. These prices are without trade in and after applying EPP discounts. I ordered a Silver version. $248 for brand new is a killer deal.
