It should. There's a default music player built-in. You just need to transfer mp3s onto the limited onboard storage.

Anyone have the LTE version already? I've read reviews on Samsung's site that says it still has to be tethered to your phone or the phone will lose connectivity. Sounds like a Bluetooth version, but people are saying it's the LTE version. Seems counter to what a standalone LTE version should do.
