Each Synology server comes with 2, 4, 8 licenses by default, depending on the actual model.

You can purchase more licenses to add more IP cameras, I/O modules, AXIS Door Controllers, transaction devices, and other supported devices to Surveillance Station.

Bought this at regular price. Set up was very easy and I feel the quality is great too. I didn't mess with customizing it, just installed (after charging) and left on standard settings and have no complaints. Battery life seems like it's going to run exactly as stated, around 6 months. Oh, and they sell a silicone "house shaped" cover for these which helps protect more against the elements, highly recommend.

True, I got the 2 bay/ 2 cam license, but 2 cameras are not enough. I need 6 and 4 more licenses cost a ton 😫

So am I better off getting a 6 bay and will that give me 6 licenses? Was already thinking of upgrading for more bays anyways.
