im in the market for a new ipad, but i have a hard time buying one now with all these "rumors" saying a new one is coming march. does the price of the old ipad get cheaper or just discontinued

Normally the previous generation goes down $100 after the new one came out. So it won't be cheaper than this deal.

this review gives the edge to ipad air 4, but there is little meaningful difference.
the biggest is that piad pro has face id and an extra camera at the back, and also a 128gb version

I had the 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch and the latest iPad Air side by side for about a week last month. I returned the iPad Air, as last years Pro had a more natural and realistic color. The iPad Air was slightly cooler/bluer and just not as much depth to my eye. This comparison was mostly done by me when reading digital comics, as I rarely watch video on mobile devices - preferring the big screen TV in those cases.

I just today was able to PM a Microcenter price of 379.00 for an 8th gen reg ipad 128 at Target. Red Card discount brought it down just shy of 360 + tax. Ive had good luck with Target Chat getting a couple decent deals over the years.
