Verizon trade-in experience. How close do they look at your trade?

How strict is Verizon on your trade in? Over the weekend I was at the Verizon store and they said they had a loyalty program to trade in my Galaxy S7 edge for $600 off the new S21. I really want to do this deal but my phone has a black dot (dead pixels) in upper right on edge. It does not interfere with the performance of the phone and I have no problem living with it. But I fear they will turn it down for the $600 trade-in and I will end up stuck paying full price for the S21. If I had to pay full price I would rather have the iphone 12.

What is your experience with trade ins and Verizon?

Well do you trade it in at the store you will know right away? I have done the mail in and have had no issues but phones have been fine too?

I guess this is a sarcastic way of saying I probably wont get the $600. Or, maybe they want to keep a long time customer and that is why they are offering me this deal?

I could port my line over to AT&T or T-Mobile and get more that $600 without giving them my phone.

Also, I went to the store. They do not decide the value of our trade. They have to send it in and some Wizard behind the curtain decides it's value.
