Bought my set october of last year. $299 plus $26 shipping, no tax. They are absolutely worth the price even at $329 + inflated shipping costs. You could probably get it for a bit cheaper if you can get it at amazon
Keep in mind if you buy the stage 1 from powerblock, you will have to buy the expansion from powerblock as well. If you buy from amazon, you will have to buy the expansions from amazon
Read that it's "not" possible to do heavy pullovers or tricep press/extension because there's no space to grip with the powerblocks, is that true because design wise, that does look to be the case when the stack is heavy.

If you're talking about pullovers while lying on your back, you can't do em with these. Same goes for 2 handed tricep extensions overhead
You'll want ironmasters for those. I don't have them but from what I've read, they are much more durable and shaped like a traditional dumbbell. The powerblocks are easier to change weight though. Takes 1 second to change in 10 lb increments. About 10 seconds to change by 2.5 or 5 lb increments for each dumbbell

Not even grabbing those two bars that holds the silver weighted rods. The other thing I was thinking about was using like a nylon webbing to wrap around the inner handle and simply "lifting/pulling' the webbing.
It's great that they're back in stock, but I'm not seeing any reduction in shipping costs. Unfortunately the new normal is $380 shipped to my section of NJ for a pair of Elite USA dumbbells. I know it's a great product, but that is a steep price.
Thank you, missed out on this the other day. FYI for anyone wondering, the Elite directly ordered from the Powerblock website is Made in USA whereas the ones you get off Amazon, Rogue, etc. are the China made "Elite 2020" version. From what I read, the stage kits are not interchangeable .
Never thought about using the bars. Could work but I'm not trying it lol. Wouldn't want it potentially falling apart on my face or on my floor
I do it all the time without any issues. You're only screwed if you let the weight slip out of your hands but kind of hard to do. It's pretty impossible for it to come apart.
