Good deal for the price. Does not work on CDMA but I have recommended several of them and are great for the money. My last 3 phones were motorola's. Miss shaking for camera and flashlight, other than that it is great for me and others who used them. Good 4000ma battery cameras are fine. Put my SD card in recognized my music and I am very happy. Comes with a generic rubber case and replaceable tempered glass and has 3.5mm headphone jack.

How "clean" are TCL phones? Lot of bloatware or things you cannot uninstall ?

Just got one. Price was the same last week. $249 - 50 coupon.

No bloat ware, clean Android 10

It works fine on Verizon. Got it working on Red pocket Verizon. I had to do a chat with customer service to enable "cdma less" on the account or I couldn't receive sms/mms. Talk and mobile data worked right away although could not edit Apn.

Wifi is stronger than the Umidigi F1 I replaced it with.

The 6 gig of ram is really necessary now with all the bloated apps out there. Don't buy a phone with less.

How come every one of these off brand phones that pop on here are always missing bands 29 and 30 when I look into them? Seems like a conspiracy of some sort.

It seems to be missing band 71, so might not be a good choice for T-Mobile users.

It will work on the standard T-mobile channels(2,4,5 and 12) like most phones but might not be able to get best reception if the area you are in has just band 71. That's not wide-spread so I don't know how critical that is.

Or simple but annoying economics. Same for band 71

Lots of these off brand phones are international/global phones that just happen to also work with US carriers. They are not always designed for US. But if they work, they are a good bargain compared to phones costing 2-5 times as much.

It's main competition is phones in this price range by Motorola. I bought a couple of Motorolas in the past but the thing I hear alot is people saying Motorola phones used to be better.

TCL is not a bad company with a good reputation. They make decent TVs found in Costco.

As for this phone, so far its been good once that sms issue was solved.

This is essentially just a Verizon phone then. Wonder how many people buy it not realizing this?

No, it should work fine on ATT and T-mobile to a lesser extent(if band 71 is not necessary).

It has the bands for these carriers.

In my experience missing bands can make the difference between having signal and not. I wouldn't bother with this phone if using AT&T because it's missing bands 29 & 30 and missing band 71 for Tmobile. If someone's budget is only $200 then there's better options out there. Spend a little more and have a much better phone like the a71 5g which is better in every way (battery, screen, more storage, has all the bands and 5g, etc).
