Best Buy has the on sale for $199.99. Bought it Saturday, but discovered it went on sale today. Thought I would post the deal since it was $229.99 or higher everywhere I looked on Saturday. Yes, I got a refund this morning through chat. :-)
This is the PCIe 4.0 version, so super-speedy! ;-)

Fool me once, Sabrent Frown

Not too happy about my slow Gen 3 XPG SX8200 Pro. No telling what kind of DRAM/controller shenanigans they might pull on shipping drives. I'll stick with Samsung/WD for now.

EDIT: sorry I was mixing up my ADATA XPG and Sabrent Rocket. I own both, the Sabrent is actually just fine.

1. figures befroe I can even do my build it goes down in price, but after the return window.
2. These have a major issue where the cache keeps filling up and not releasing so even with light use you suddenly have the speeds drop way, way down for hours or even days at a time. Someone claimed samsung is putting out a firmware for it, but I ahve seen nothing about that.

I thought samsung is pretty much industry standard.

Just a reminder this is not a gaming SSD. Don't pay double $/GB for meaningless performance unless you're doing professional workloads that absolutely demand it.

While not official, this will likely be one of the supported NVMe PS5 drives. At one point I think Samsung stated PS5 support in their marketing materials before it was pulled.

While you will not see any improvement in gaming vs a gen 3 drive at the moment, DirectStorage is coming this year for PC. Once it is added to Windows it will take advantage of the faster speed in the future. If you have the extra cash it nice to have this gen 4 drive to be ready for that.
