Good deal, just used this oil for the first time on my newly acquired van. I got it for $24 a gallon on sale at O'Rilleys, everywhere else seemed to be right about $30

Well if you're comfortable paying $3.30 more per bottle and having to drive to Walmart to pick it up ---- and deal with Walmart's massive parking lot and crowds... then by all means, purchase this at Walmart.

Anyone else that would like to save some money and not have to drive to Walmart (which I avoid like the plague), this is a fairly good deal. I have 2 turbo charged cars (that are not diesel, btw) that call for this higher viscosity 5w-40 weight oil, so I go through quite a lot of this stuff.

It's been $20.88, without the S&S,for months. Bought this back in November for the same price.

That may be true, but a S&S option is not always available. $20.88 is $2.20 more than $18.68 if the 15% S&S discount applies to you. So, I'm not clear on the point of your post (ie - "I usually pay more, and it's been more for months, so this isn't a good deal???"). A lot of people will doing oil changes as the weather gets nicer. I, personally, needed at least 2 bottles of this stuff, so it was over $6 in savings vs Walmart's normal price for me. If you're aware of a better deal, then please provide a link... but I'm not aware of any right now.

Walmart has same day or two delivery for $35 or more and no paying for Prime.

We do buy from Amazon, but their shipping takes forever if not Prime and I am not comfortable with the game playing with 'subscribe and save' .... Most are knowingly going to cancel after shipping/delivery for the now savings and for me, that lacks integrity.

The other stuff aside, using S&S and then cancelling afterwards you feel "lacks integrity?" Why would somebody like me lack integrity if I set this up, and then cancelled it sometime after it shipped / I received it? I mean, there are shady things that go on when people try to get a deal, but signing up for S&S and then possibly cancelling later is not something I'd call lacking integrity.

As an aside, I have done S&S and then also accepted a future shipment with a similar discount. If you don't want to wait for the S&S delay, that's understandable, but I don't agree there's anything wrong with setting us a S&S and cancelling it WELL BEFORE the next shipment ever ships.

It is self explanatory.... if one sets up S&S with full intention of cancelling as soon as shipped, for ME, that lacks integrity.... and when enough people do it, that deal will disappear as another abused loser.

Do whatever you want to do.

I view signing up for S&S as no different than signing up for a free trial period and then cancelling before you get billed. Obviously the seller knows the game - they hope you like the service and keep it. Even Amazon Prime, at first I may have signed up for the free trial and then cancelled... later, when it became a better overall bargain and more indispensable, I started paying for it. They same goes with YouTube Premium -- they offered a 60 day free trial period, prior to the first billing. I wanted it either way, but I was more than happy to get the first 2 months free.

The above said, you have a strange sense of "integrity."

Stop right there... I did not attack your integrity, so back off.... I don't care what you do, so cease with trying to justify your actions to convince me to change what I conclude is right and wrong for me.

No way am I doing S&S for oil or anything else 6 months out without knowing the then price, so I would be using it now for the discount and cancelling after shipped. Pretty simple....

After all, how many would sign up for S&S if they could not cancel? How many are rotating three items for maximum discount and cancelling as needed? Sure, there is justification for playing the game that the rules are soon to change, but that is just not me.

Meanwhile, I and plenty of others have experienced enough of the justification that includes mass reproduction of Lowes coupons, how to scam Home Depot by returning part of the order, etc. And slowly but surely, those individually justified methods went away, or about to. Amazon is no different and changes are coming for S&S.

Uhhmm, yeah, ya kinda did attack my integrity. It's like saying --- everyone that does this certain thing is unethical, knowing very well that the person you're talking to does that same certain thing. So, yeah, you could have kept it to yourself, but you didn't. So, I'll just do what you did... people who presume such things of other people tend to be pretentious jerks. You see, I did not attack you, either.

on sale at sams club too

Yep, about 30 cents cheaper per bottle - but - you need to purchase a quantity of 3 for that price, and you also need a Sam's card. Also, it looks like you only get free shipping on that $55 order if you're a PLUS member. So, normal Sam's members would need to pick it up in store vs having Amazon deliver it. Still a good price, though.

I've used rotella in a 20 year old beater vehicle that burns oil pretty badly.

It costs twice as much as SuperTech, but it burns half the oil, so it kinda evens out, and it's better for the environment.

Since Rotella T6 hasn't been on sale for a very long time ($19.99 was the lowest I saw all year), I decided to give Rotella T4 a chance. I'll try to only use it during the warmer months. It's half the price, but it's not synthetic. It'll make it less painful when I actually have to change the oil at the end of this year.
