Looks like Amazon matched Walmart's price... but Walmart doesn't have any available online, and most stores are out of it. Given the price of a barrel of US Crude has gone from about $70 to close to $120 in a year's time (and some analysts believe it could go as high as $180 a barrel), it has driven up the price of most everything that is made with petroleum. Yes, this is synthetic, but if regular oil prices go up, then this tends to go up as well. It was recently selling on Amazon for close to $50. I need 5w-40 in two of my vehicles, so I have been tracking it. I ended up ordering 3 gallons.
Good deal while it lasts (and it's currently OOS, but you can still place orders for your next oil change). Oh, and I took the word "diesel" out of the title since this Shell 5w-40 synthetic is used in many non-diesel cars as well (like my VW turbo's) and it can cause confusion.
