My Time at Portia is a great game. They just need to make a DLC so you can slap Higgins around.
Death Squared is a fun chill couch co-op puzzle game. Worth $3
My time at Portia is a fantastic RELAXING game. Seriously, the game was a stress reliever and anxiety reducer for me for months.
It's basically stardew valley farming RPG game meets a 3-d zelda game but VERY lowkey and chill. There are dungeons and monsters but they are pretty simple , you can do them easily and quickly but it breaks up the monotony and adds some spice.
I would play this game at night with my headphones on and have an ASMR video on in the background and would fall asleep within minutes many nights. It was a fantastic game to have during the begining of the quarantine.

A quick gripe about Slickdeals or maybe certain posts--the picture on the post does not match the prominent listed price. Maybe the pictures just need to be switched around, but at a quick glance, it appears that My Time at Portia is $1.99.

I think it's just your browser. It shows up as 7.49 as I'm scrolling.

Completely agree. It's a great game for couch co-op. I'm not sure how "chill" it is, since some of the later levels are pretty tricky. But the death animations/sounds are pretty much the most fun part anyway, so it's not really annoying even when it gets tougher.

As others have said, Portia is awesome. If you like Stardew Valley or similar games, check it out. It's my favorite game from the year it came out.
With that said, the Switch version is pretty rough compared to the PC version. Obviously they are different systems but if you can play it on PC, do that instead.
For the guy trolling above, there are very few games that are truly free on iPhone or Android. Mostly they are "free to play" which means you never get the full game experience. They are usually never-ending grindfests or money pits. Not the same thing as a real game.
Anyone know if these missing updates and content are coming to the Switch version?
If I remember correctly, I think the Switch version was missing most/all of the voiceovers. It seems that they added at least some of them in a later patch. As far as anything getting patched in the future, I wouldn't count on it. The last patch was about 10 months ago. I don't think the Switch port got a lot of attention.
After China has weaponized the living F out of games from Android/iOS to PC, I try my hardest to not play their games. With that said, it's hard to imagine what harm they could do on a Nintendo (meaning even though its Chinese, it's almost certainly safe) in all seriousness and the game they sorta cloned with this one is very pixelated whereas this one at least tries to use more modern, much more appealing graphics.
I know people roll their eyes at things like what I just said about China weaponizing games similar to how people cant fathom how they could do anything with social media apps yet like our Facebook, they do except on a much much larger scale and with a much more militarized focus. Ignoring reality or better yet not even caring is precisely why they've gone so extremely far and how they are able to use these as part of a catalyst for everything from tracking down dissidents to knowing who to spy on / hack / target to blackmailing even.
And the whole "oh they're indie, they're "different" doesn't fly and again its why things are the way they are. People look at things at face value.
As someone that's been in Info Sec (dealings with security on both networking and software spectrums on a corporate scale) for over a decade, it's stressful to see how much of society drinks the kool aid even if that kool aid is through a silly game.
That stuff you hear on the news rather it be Fox News, CNN, BBC, wherever it may be in the Western world, they aren't all on some scheme together with all the governments too, the threat is the greatest threat of our lifetime.. this is Chinas "peaceful" rise and we're all part of it rather we know it or not. It's again why I do what little I can.
Note: It appears one person seems very confused by my comment. I am in no way saying this game poses a danger to you, your child or anyone that uses it. I was merely saying why I dont support the studio behind the game. In China they are not indie yet for their foreign version of this game they pass it off as some indie game made by a humble studio in China. Again, I doubt this game poses ANY danger! I just personally wont support games ultimately backed by one of Chinas largest holdings groups for indie phone/PC/console games.

I was able to play it on PC and I know that I read the switch version is missing some content/updates from the PC but still overall enjoyable.
