I'm not sure I would trust a random named company (likely a product from China) with in wall electrical stuff, I'm sure its "UL rated" but still... i'll hold my breath for Kasa to come out with a 3 way dimmer switch.

I'm personally a Lutron Casseta fan, but this is literally a third of a price of a Lutron Casetta switch. For anyone who wants to use this with Homekit, I think this works with the Tuya plugin for Homebridge (homebridge.io).

Kasa is TP-Link, which is a Chinese company. Kasa is also one of the few companies selling wifi enabled appliances that does not offer 2FA for their accounts. Some folks don't care about that but I would advise most people to at least consider it carefully. That said, I don't know the first thing about this company but, from what I have seen, the price point is sweet enough to give it a whirl so long as you don't read something terrifying about it.

With any cloud connected device, you need this company to keep existing for most to work.
The app (iOS/Android) needs to be always kept up to date.

For these reasons, don't 'chance' any random device, because it'll stop working sooner than later.

Pretty good price for 3-way on/off only switch. For dimmer capabilities ... look elsewhere.

FYI. Neutral wire required. For those like me with an old house, this will not work.

That's what I thought but I bought a no name wifi switch that uses a generic app called "smart life", fwiw the switch works great and I still have connection 2.5 years later.

Though I did originally think the way you did (I owned a sleep sensor from some start up that was terribly mismanaged and it became a great paper weight) so I have some switches that aren't internet dependent (honestly they work just as well for my purpose which is set and forget)

My house doesn't have a neutral wires either...ending up trying the C by GE which worked as a smart dimmer....there are not too many brands I could find that doesn't require a neutral wire.

Install was a snap and works fine with Alexa

You can also get Lutron Caseda, it doesn't need Natural wire.

Yes, afaik the Lutron Caseda and the C by GE smart switch are the only two smart switches that do not require a neutral wire. But both are so expensive compared to the smart switches that do require a neutral wire. I've found that it just much cheaper to install a smart bulb (which now are running around $5 on sale) instead of a smart switch in my old house.
