115w bios mod discussed here >> https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=

But no doubt this Legion 5 has great feedback from people. Great non gamer design form factor.--so if you are in a rush to get something like this, then this was one of the best you could get.

This RTX 2060 laptop plays games at higher FPS than some other RTX 2060 laptops: Gateway creator, HP omen Ryzen7...so out of box experience is amongst the best from this laptop. (unsure if 115w mod makes things that much better, since already good.)

Decent price and deal for new--about $50 less than a similar deal in December--that one had 1tbhdd, 256ssd, while this has a 512gb nvme ssd). It was $800 at a refurb vipoutlet last week but sold out quick. Since this has newer design and 10th gen i7, This may be worth the extra $50 over the Legion y540 i7 9750h RTX 2060, that was $899 a few weeks ago,and that received 65+ thumbs up.

- keep in mind this gets very average battery life-- only 1hr gaming, and maybe 3-4 hrs without gaming on lowest power settings.
(mostly 2-3hrs like many gaming laptops for all purpose use--so keep it plugged most of the time.)

-Next best options were the MSI mentioned above that gets sold out, Legion5 Ryzen7 from ebay at $1029 past few months, and some open box deals at BB past few months, then the Legion y540,Acer i5 , and Gateway deals. Or if you are not in a rush and require better gpu&cpu, just spend up to $300-$600 more for Gigabyte/Asus RTX 3060/3070 series laptops.
