Imagine paying $100 for half of what you need to charge your new phone...

Yuck too expensive. Lot on Amazon does the same thing $20-30
I picked up an Amazon version and have been super happy with it. Also recognizes the charger when phone is place on it. Was super excited with the Apple version until I saw the price. My ceiling on this pad was about 79$. $129 is absurd.

Went with this setup:

Very happy with it and really like the flat power brick behind my furniture. Also has a usb out to charge my non Apple headphones that comes out the watch charging pad.

Your mind is lock on Apple. You didn't even read entirely what I said. I have a USB hub charge meter MakerHawk USB Power Meter Tester, Bluetooth USB Tester, Type-C Current and Voltage Monitor, USB Safety Tester, PD Battery Capacity Meter, Digital Color LCD Display Multimeter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DCSZ...DAVE5FQFYF

I know what I am talking about, almost all new aftermarket charger now charge at 15w if you use a 20W after market "PD charger" sigh

Goodbye I don't want to convince you because no one can't buy a USB hub meter so you know what I am talking about so you don't just assume everything.

The ultimate "TRUST ME" argument

Did anyone else order this and get shipped the totally wrong Belkin 3 in 1 charger instead of the actual Apple Duo-charger? 🤦 ♂️

Damn, $100 for 15W wireless charging, what a racket. They conveniently add an NFC chip to gatekeep other brands from being able to make 15W chargers for cheaper. This reeks of what they did for the lightning cable when it first came out. Classic Apple.
Is there gatekeeping on the "wall wart" side? In other words, could I get this Apple-certified (with their proprietary NFC chip that validates to the device) but pair it with a regular 20W wall charger that doesn't occupy so much space?

The redeeming value of this charger to me is the portability / folding aspect. That goes out the window with the Apple "official" 20W USB-C Power Adapter: https://www.apple.com/shop/produc...er-adapter

Dude lot of them charge at 15w you just don't use the proper usb AC or car socket charger should be PD. And you should read the title or description that states 15w. And lot of reviewer there are just newbie on tech they plug on regular car USB and think it will charge at 15w. It has to be a 20w PD usb charger. Mine works and charge at 15w.
On the genuine Apple magsafe do you know if you use your MacBook 85w charger on it it won't charge at 15w? See how apple want you to be a puppet lol
hans, same question to you above:

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure, but the chip is most probably on the wireless charger itself, so you can probably use your own USB wall charger. If it's both, then Apple has us beat hah.
