Crazy that this deal pops up same day as the dell.com one except for $300 more with slight upgrades. At least you get that costco warranty.

edit. didn't see that it's an issue rather than the i5 in the dell.com deal.

Eh... the Dell deal with similar configuration was $700 just recently, only with 10400 instead. So paying an extra ~$160 over the price difference of the CPU. Not too terrible, but not great either.

Do you have a link to that similar configuration?

Isn't currently available, if you were looking. Just mentioned it for reference. Dell's been offering a number of pretty good deals lately that would make me hold off on this Costco offer in case another pops up. At any rate, here's the one I was thinking of from last month:

https://slickdeals.net/f/14811925-dell-xps-desktop-6gb-gtx-1660-ti-i5-10400-16gb-256gb-ssd-1tb-hd-700-free-s-h

Similar, except also has 256GB SSD instead of 512. So a little less the better bargain, but still was a good $130 cheaper after accounting for the CPU and SSD.

There was also the special edition for $730 from just a few days ago that again was about the same, minus the same i5 and 256GB SSD. Though also came with a DVDRW:

https://slickdeals.net/f/14885653-dell-xps-desktop-6gb-gtx-1660-ti-i5-10400-16gb-256gb-ssd-1tb-hd-730-free-s-h

EDIT: oh, the Costco build also has the upgraded card with Killer WiFi & BT 5.1. So altogether call the differences $130 for i7, $30 for 512 SSD, $20 for Killer WiFi 6/BT 5.1, and the Dell deals are only about $100 better.

There's a billion of these at my local Costco Miami area.

Don't forget that at Dell.com, there's a $100 off $500 offer at AmEx.

This seems like a truly terrible deal. Configs like this have been going for under $700 before AMEX deal on Dell.com

Not a good price. Dell likely to roll out other deal weekly.

Not a great deal but not too bad, and my 9 year old XPS picked this morning to have the motherboard bite it. Besides, I can always return it if something better comes along. I'll just move over the Win10 Pro SSD from my current computer to this one and not have to worry about data if I return it.

Was looking at this to replace the XPS 8500, also 9 year old... But when the 11th gen chips go announced, the performance increase from the 10th gen are pretty drastic which made me wait.

That said, the increase in performance from a 9yr old rig is much drastic. Video editing is the most I do and even then it's light. Dell already selling 11th gen XPS but a comparable deal like this one may take a while to show up.

Dell has an 11th gen i7 but need to get add a DVD drive so you get the open slot bezel. Comes out to 950 with 8gb, Intel graphics and just a 1TB drive.
