Extremely unhelpful, at the very least mention where you bought these parts. The power supply is apparently free? The GPU somehow you bought near MSRP, while others have to pay minimum double.

Worse still, even at these listed prices with the free power supply you're paying more than the SD. If no tax, then sure you're saving $100ish (provided everyone gets the free power supply). Which we can't know due to lack of store link.

This is probably better as a computer, than the Winix.
However, the Winix is the better option if you're looking for an air purifier.

I've had 3 Alienwares in last 5 years. Each time I swapped only to upgrade to higher tier systems. I never had an issues with any of them in and out of warranty. People do have issues with them, but saying worst brand you can buy, that's bogus.

Wow, so India is influencing the US now.
Yes, it will and can go down 60%, it will still be profitable to mine.

You clearly haven't done the math and just basing your opinion from TV talking heads and not actual facts and numbers.
This is the game of music chair.... The fool buying and hoping another fool to buy higher.... And of course we all know how it ends. It has a number of big whale controlling it... Once it ends, tons of bag holders crying. I will throw in some money if bitcoin comes back down below 500/coin

Depend on the game and setting. I have a 3070, the card definitely can't do 4k 60fps for graphically demanding games like Metro Exodus, Read Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Control etc at max settings even if ray tracing if turned off and DLSS is not used . With DLSS and no ray tracing, can definitely get to 4k 60FPS. With ray tracing on, DLSS on quality and max setting, I get around 40fps on Cyberpunk 2077 on 3840x1600 resolution (so 4K will be slightly worse). A 3060 TI will perform about 10-15% worse than my 3070
awesome thank you for the explanation. I'd honestly probably only run warzone on this. Think I could get close to 60 on 4k with medium settings? I'd honestly prob just turn of ray tracing to get there if needed

Ha, TV talking heads comment lines again.

Most ppl here makes $100k+ What's wrong with gambling $1,400 on a gaming machine that can also make $180/ month?

Go wait a few years until you find that MSRP card and let us get our gaming machine for free, ok boomer?

———edit———-
Used 1070 in still selling for higher than MSRP. I guess you will have to wait a few more years buddy.

Can you game and mine on this without any issues? I assume you'd just "pause" or stop your mining software while you game, and then when you're done gaming resume the mining software?

Yes, but you might not want to save any personal info on a mining desktop due to security issues.

A 3070 is as fast as 2080ti. A 3060 (which us what he mentioned not a ti) is barely a 2070.

Agreed, just install your games without any personal info.

Pause the miner when you game, when you finished gaming, turn on the miner again, pretty straight forward.

I would skip anything with a Killer NIC/WiFi.

Terribly buggy, no driver support, only bloatware and fake performance boost.

Mine hasn't worked ever on my mobo, and I use a 9$ rosewill PCI card NIC as a result. Just saying.
I've had killer wireless cards in my PC's for years. Zero issues and the performance is stellar.

how does this compare to the 1200 doorbuster deal? ryze 3700 and rtx 3070,, seems like worse value, but you get intel instead of amd.

I will echo all the concerns people are having about thermals on this -
I got the XPS 8940 i7 3060ti deal from last month - paid $1145 with tax/coupons/cashback all factored in - hopefully getting $80 back due to delayed shipment - OOB CPU hit 100C in seconds with cinebench - you WILL need an upgraded cooler unless you want cpu throttling - replaced with Vetroo V5 and it tops out 60-70C cpu - mining 58-59 mH/s at 55C gpu temps - hoping rear case fan upgrade to noctua will bring that down to 50C that I get with case open - this R11 case just looks too cramped

I wouldn't suggest this system purely for mining - payoff is just way too long - the recent 5700xt deals were probably best for pure mining - either way even though crypto is probably here to stay despite all naysayers what form it will take and how profitable home gpu mining will remain is all up in the air - change is a bitch - if you can't pay for this system now without factoring potential mining income I wouldn't buy this

still waiting over 1 month on barebones G5 i3 3060ti systems to ship - by this summer eth mining just might not be a thing anymore - i got them for my kids because how heavy they're using PC nowadays and i've never gotten latest/greatest before - even if i make $200 in some crypto i just see it as a nice discount, NOT a form of income

You need to use a completely different computer if you mine.

1 computer for mining/gaming
Another computer for personal data like TurboTax.

100% with you.

People should see crypto mining as gambling rewards. If you make $200/month, it's awesome!
You will pay for your system in 7 months.

If you don't get your gambling reward, you have a latest and greatest gaming machine!

FYI, most (which make it into view) of these ("altcoins," cryptocurrencies) are basically speculative stocks on partnerships or technologies.

You seem to know enough that you can understand it versus stocks... And that just because a bubble pops, doesn't mean the stock disappears (or come back 10000% in a decade).
