I was being sarcastic... but I was like "hey, I just bought two boxes yesterday, is this better or worse?"
I ended up ordering this as well... stuff is like cardboard to me, nothing but carbs also, but kids like it for easy snacking
Honey Oats vs Quaker Squares
Besides folic acid the vitamin count of Honey Oats is double that compared with Quaker Squares but keep in mind my calculations are slightly off (62g vs 56g).
As for cost the Honey Oats are the champion = 0.15c per 56g vs 0.25c per 56g of Quaker Squares. Nutrition wise Honey Oats have double the vitamins of Quaker but get half the fiber and twice the sugar for roughly the same calorie count so it's up to you if that's worth .10c difference. Adding flax seeds could makeup the fiber count but then you're adding more cost while still consuming more sugar. Also this only accounts for weighing your cereal out. If you just fill the bowl to the brim the calculations would be different and you'd probably be out of cereal in 3 days.
For comparison 56g of plain oatmeal has nearly identical stats as Quaker Squares with 0g of sugar but no added vitamins at 0.08c per bowl.
