Please note this product is discontinued by the manufacturer, probably the last few units still in stock at Kohl's. Has mixed reviews, but most negative ones come from people who do not understand how this works (kids need to kick and get speed on their own before the motor operates).

When a product has more one star reviews than 4/5, that's a huge red flag. I'd steer clear of this deal even if it was $9.99.
A red flag for me is when people make up their minds about something without any due diligence, same as the people that left a 1-star review. Did you read those reviews? Those same people probably had problems with their lava lamp working too.

Them: "Plugged the lava lamp in and immediately saw it didn't work!!! Unplugged and returned."

You: "Huge red flag! Don't buy!!"

I suppose it's easier to make assumptions, than do research, and then announce that assumption in a public forum.

When a product has more 1-star reviews than 4/5, I start reading reviews and then make my own decision, rather than have others make it for me. To each their own though.
Looking at the reviews it seems no one reads instructions.

Ok I jumped. Hopefully this isn't a bad late night decision. I picked up manual scooters for my kids for Easter, but why not at this price? Even with shipping it's 50% off any place else I checked. Now just hoping my daughters not too big and my son's not too small! Someone better be able to use it! Lol

This is designed to only function as an electric scooter after you've pushed it 5-8 times. They say it's a safety feature but to me it sounds like a super low powered scooter.

I just got an adult $400 gotrax with same feature and seems normal to have a kick push start. Imagine a whip lash by standing on it and then using the throttle
