The smaller Walmart Neighborhood stores count as grocery stores. The large Big Box stores do not.
www.doctorofcredit.com has all the faqs:

1. Cap1 allows only 2 personal cards & 2 business cards (but a few have extra grandfathered in) & co-branded cards do not count

2. Cap1 pulls from ALL 3 bureaus at each time for each application (3 pulls per application & averages them out!)

3. need at least 720-740+ mininum FICO according to data points from last several years (but other factors such as too high balances or too many inquiries in past year can cause rejection).. do not know of this year's mininum
so if you are APPROVED; please list your FICO score that got approved
&
how many new cards you got in the past 2 years because there is rumor that Savor cards have a 5/24 rule similar to Chase (ie; must be under 5 new credit card accounts in past 24 months)
Signed up previously with the $250 offer and was instantly approved. After receiving the card and using it for a week, they restricted my card because they had to verify my income. I had to e-sign an IRS form 4506-T for them to check my 2019 tax Return. After that, it took two weeks for them to verify and remove the restriction. They seem so strict compared to other credit card companies @.@

I am trying to decide if capital one everyday 1.5% back is better than theses ones with tiered category cash back.

WHy take a 1.5% card when there are many 2% unlimited no annual fee cards?

For example Citi Double Cash https://www.citi.com/credit-cards...redit-card

Very surprising to hear, because I heard capital one is the go to bank for people looking to build credit. They used to give away credit cards for having a pulse. Something changed I guess.

Also I'd have cancelled the card instead of authorizing access to my tax return. fark em.

I have this card, I only use it for restaurants but it's a free 3% so I can't complain. Occasionally I'll have better short term/one time offers from my other cards but for the most part this is my go-to for eating out. There's the version with the annual fee that pays more but you have to eat at restaurants a lot/have a big family to justify that one.

I'm grandfathered into the regular Savor card with no annual fee (4% back on dining/entertainment), and it's probably my most lucrative card since I eat out a lot. Also note that the "entertainment" category is pretty wide and usually includes items like concert tickets, bowling, and lots of other stuff.

I wonder if anyone has ever changed their name to "Lee M Cardholder"?

Is this a Mastercard or Visa? Costco only accepts Visa for in-store purchases.

Great card for young newbs to the CC scene I suppose. Horrible bonus, card benefits suck and they pull all 3 bureaus when applying.

Mastercard. Also, it's not really that great of a card for Costco purchases. You would only get 1% on that purchase if Costco did take it.

Is there any downside to opening an account and then closing it afterwards just for the bonus?

It will affect your credit history
Always tell you to keep the card if no annual fee even if you don't plan to use it rather than cancel right away

I thought all the Walmart Markets were gone. They shut down everything around here.
