If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

I have 4 free lines that I don't know what to do with them. Might get this one and just to port out.....
If you plan on doing this, you must keep the 2 paid lines as a requirement after the one year and keep the new free line and cancel one of the older line.

Yes you can. It says that you can combine with previous free lines offer. In your case, you'd qualified.
Can we get 20% hookup on top of that? I'm in the same situation

spoke with tmobile representative online and they mentioned only 1 free line per account, how are you all getting more then 1 free line on your accounts?
It's normally one free redemption per specific offer. So as long as they had another offer previously, they're good.

Of course military is excluded... Not much of a discount to existing military and 55+ lines if you have multiple lines... makes me feel like my military line bill is going up whenever i see the free line promo.

Last time I was able to get the BYOD Costco to stack with AAL. Guessing this promo won't be available before the BYOD expires?
The 300 BYOD ends today, the free line starts tomorrow.

Yes it can be combined with a free device that required adding a new line. Most offers like iPhones still requires trade on and potentially port in. So double check to make sure when you call in. This one doesn't have as much restrictions as the one prior recently, where you can't really stack it with a lot of offers

says yes. so maybe you can do add a free line, trade in an old device and maybe combo with a port-in if required. Or maybe Costco extends the BYOD.

The AAL in November last year worked with Costco BYOD. I did the $200 Costco Card and the $100 T-Mo port-in rebate on the free line. But, the AAL in December explicitly excluded Costco deals. This one also has that exclusion in Reddit.

Also, phone promotions don't usually work on these free lines but some have gotten lucky if they were able to do it in quick succession on the same lines and get the rebates as well. But, YMMV to the max!

So I maxed out at 12 lines as I have Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines plan, can I convert one of my lines to MI today to go to 11 lines and then add free line tomorrow as 12th line?

It should be. Call in to check. This looks like an older TMobile one plan
