If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Can someone please point me to the deal terms that says current free line promo can't be combined with Costco BYOD rebate. I've chatted with TForce and the representative mentioned there is no such limitation. Thank you.
I did this in September or so with line on us 3. Walked into Costco, activated a line, got the $200 BYOD rebate form back then and all worked out. No activation fee and free SIM as you activate there in the store. FYI, the KIOSKs close activation window 30 minutes before Costco closing time. If you want to activate a line or buy a phone be there earlier than last minute.

I have the same exp.
I even got the $100 rebate recently from the subsequent Free line + BYOD without any issues and I still have both the lines free !!!
I am not sure why so many are thinking it's a big risk of denial ! If it all it gets denied, it will be the $150 rebate which will get denied (but there is no risk in trying right)?
Once the line is added as free, why will they make it a "paid" line later on?

For me I wasn't going to personally risk a free line over $100 so I never tried.

Thank you. I've done that in the past but I was confused looking at the details in this deal wiki "Costco & T-Mobile rebate promos are NOT stackable with the free line."

Contact T-force and have them switch to a 9-12 plan on One. They did that for me last time and added the free line. My plan was switched from FRLTULF2 to TIULFM9. Alternate plan on One: FRLTULFM9.

You have to be lucky to get a rep to make that switch, but keep trying with different reps - Twitter and Facebook.
do you have hook up. if so, whats your total after that ? i read it somewhere that 1 guy moved to FRLTULFM9 plan. he ended up paying less after plan change with hookup since most of his lines were free and that offset most of the monthly fees. like below $100/m

I messaged TEM (Team of Experts) and they confirmed that I can avail both promotions - free line, and Iphone 12 on us - 2021 Apple Switch trade P1 - T439 either through them or in-store.
So, I went to a store, opened a new line, traded-in an Iphone XR, and ported a number from freedompop. The port-in took a while. Meanwhile they assigned a temporary number, completed the trade-in process and initiated the port-in.
Initially, the 2021 Apple trade P1 - T510 applied to my account.
The port-in took a few hours as they had to manually call in for transfer at freedompop.
I just received a message that 2021 Apple Switch trade P1 - T439 had been applied to my account.
When I checked my account just now, both the line promo and the correct phone promos were applied.
forgot to ask, with $830 off and trade in and 24 months bill credit, how much out of pocket at the store? Thanks again.

Everyone is boasting, bragging about how many "free lines" they have added with these free add a line promo for existing customers but not saying what exactly their plan is or how much they are paying. Some say they have so far added 4 free lines with these promos. One guy said he now has 6 lines for $100. is this true?

In my situation, I am stuck with a grand fathered promo called TMO ONE ALL IN PROMO and it is 3 lines total for $100 including kickback, tax and fees. I am never eligible for any free add a line promo even after talking to supervisors and the only plan they can switch me to meganta max plan 4 lines for $180.

Was able to add free line (my 4th) on business t-mobile one plan, and apparently stacked with free iPhone SE promo, got a boost mobile number from eBay for $7, worked without problems. Sellers name is noaf_22
How did you get them to give it to you? I have Tmobile ONe business & every promo they tell me the same - This plan isn't eligible and need to change it.

Great, do you see all promos still listed on the account with new SOC?
My acct is totally scorched earth right now (I don't see line by line charges like I usually do) and it shows a $310 monthly charge (normally it's $185 before kickbacks). But the rep said to expect that and that she'd call back in two days to resolve tthe prorations.

Looking line by line, I see kickback is still on the six usual lines, as is One Plus Promo.

The 9th line doesn't show yet bexause the sim has not shipped. When it does arrive, I plan to call them to do the iPhone SE deal and port in a number from Ooma.

Here's my cost breakdown for those who would find it helpful.

$120 - cost for first two lines. Fixed to the plan.
$80 - cost for next four additional lines.
$0 - last two lines from AAL promos in 2020
$20 discount (BOGO from 2017)
$7 - Netflix
$0.75 - pixel 4a5g EIP

So normal charge is $167.75. Typically five of the lines get kickback discount.. So that knocks it down to $142.75. (it's only $5 off for one of the lines because it doesn't stack perfectly with the BOGO)

I have 5 paid and 2 free lines on Magenta with 20% hookup discount.

Question:
If I am eligible, Is it possible I can add one more free line and later cancel one of my old paid lines. That way I will have 4 paid and 3 free lines.

So the port in number will take the place of the new line requirement for the $830 iphone promo? Never did a port in for t-mobile and was wondering how it works.

Yes, it's been mentioned before, but you have to wait at least 12 months before you cancel anything.
