If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Thanks. That is my current SOC. I am trying to figure out what is the better SOC (FRLTULFM9 vs TIULFM9) to switch to prepare for future free lines.
Either one should be fine for up to 12 voice lines and 5 MI lines. All my promos and discounts were switched intact.

I am being told that I am maxed out at 8 lines on Tmobile One plan, so they can't add the free line, even though I technically qualify for it. Any idea what the workaround is?
Contact T-force via twitter or facebook and request them to change the plan to TIULFM9 or FRLTULFM9 which will change the plan to 9-12 lines. Make sure that they can move all the promos and discounts.

Trying to add a line and purchase an iphone with trade in. When in incognito mode, it only shows save up to $415 off with a trade in. Anyone else seeing this?

You will Not even care to Cancel anything if your Plan becomes close to this after adding your 9th Line Free. (3 paid, 6 free)
I think you're the one I saw regarding the 9 line billing thing. You have Tmobile ONE though.
If it works with Magenta, great, no need to cancel the Line 7, since if I get the free 9th line and iPhone SE, it would need 24 months to get full credit for phone.

Anybody submitted the Costco $150 and see whether the expiration date IS today?

That's the correct amount $415 for that particular trade in scenario.
The $830 amount requires additional requirement - port in

Has anyone with a T-Mobile One plan been able to add the free line with Costco and/or stack with the $150 BYOD promo? My costco is are saying they are only doing AAL for magenta max plans.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. As far as you know, the "BO" part of the "GO" is not married to each other though right? So after 13 months after the last free line, it can be taken out?
Thanks again for the reply.
If it is a BOGO, then both lines have be active to receive the free line credit. If one line is canceled or ported-out, then the free line becomes paid line.
