If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Hey all,

Called yesterday lady on was nice said was familiar with plan.

Offered me the plan. I paid for sim.

1) I did not get to pick a phone number. I was just assigned one the next day. When my sim arrives will I be given a chance to pick a number?
2) On my overall bill the price went up $20. So, it looks as though adding new line is not free. How will this work? They'll credit my account each month?
3) Should I call back tmobile at the risk that the new rep might mess something up or just wait and see what happens ?

As a caution. If I get charged at the end of the bill cycle can I cancel this line?

If your SOC has to be changed for 9-12 plan, then you are better off getting it done via T-force on twitter or facebook and then add the line via T-force. I wouldn't risk SOC change with costco route.
That makes sense. If I'm saving money, it's not a big deal to pass up the BYOD. I'll check with T-Force. Is that better than going through chat in the app? I haven't had issues with chat, but I haven't changed SOC or done anything complicated.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyone knows when the trade in discount appears, I added a line in store this evening by trading in a Samsung S9 and ported a line, got a Iphone 12 pro, I had to pay $480 due to the fact that I had 4 S21 financed, my credit line is not enough to cover the new phone, I bought the Iphone 12 pro for $1066.24 ( $999.99, plus tax) , The Samsung S9 was given me back $80 instantly, I paid about $480, now when I logged in to my account, I found that my remaining balance is 533.4 with a monthly balance increased $22.23 to my bill, didn't see device eip , is this normal, does this take sometime for the eip to be shown? Thanks.

Also I saw free line US 4 on my account, is this the free line promo we are doing now? Thanks.

I'm on a One Plus Promo plan. 4 paid and 4 free. I just chatted with tforce asking if my plan qualifies for the free line promo, or if I'm maxed out with my 8 line total...he came back and said I can add up to 15 lines, and I'm eligible for the free line promo, but said you get a free line when you add a line ... Which is a BOGO line deal.. not a free line like in the past...Am I missing something? Or was the rep just confused...or drunk?

How am I wrong when it's happened to me and plenty of others?
Jman and reps said T-Mobile has started make GV ineligible for the promos.
But GV may still work because T-Mobile's system doesn't work well.

I got the text saying my promo has been applied. I also just read the terms and conditions. Did a search for google and nothing came up. A couple of reps confuse Google Fi and Google voice.

Just saw that the line on US 6 shown, guess the promo free line was added correctly, now look at if the device eip will be calculated right.
