If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)

I would also specifically verify the free line promos needing to have been transferred.

BTW, since I went to the store at their closing time, rep was kind of rush, charged me sim, but forgot to give me one, also the the Iphone 12 pro was sealed when handed to me, not sure if this means that the phone is not activated ? Tmobile did notify me that the port in transfer was complete when I got home. Use active Cricket number for port in. Thanks again. Also I did the trade in at store to avoid mail in and wait and possible surprise in case they decline the trade in.

I don't know about fb but for me, Twitter DM has been way better than Tmo App chat. CSRs seem more consistently competent and definitely happier (maybe since they can add emojis they want to make sure they create reason to celebrate?). Most of them on Twitter DM that I've dealt with use their actual profile picture so that probably adds to their personal investment to make sure they get things right. Many on DM say they will follow up in a week and do so but I've not once had that happen in app chat. I'll only use app chat when I submit the same request through DM first but don't get a timely reply.

When I logged in to my account now it shows that I'm still on the ONE Plus Promo and 9 lines. Kickbacks still there.

I also did the free iphone se. He waived the sim charge and said for me to do the port when I get the phone.

Hi, i have never done any of these t mobile phone deals or free line deals but I have been a t mobile customer for years. I am wondering if this deal makes sense for me. I have Simple Choice Family Unlimited Talk & Text", code: "SCFUTT4". I have a Simple Choice plan with 6 devices, it looks like taxes are charged per device. it has unlimited talk&text and 4gig of high speed data per line for 120 a month before taxes. can I do better with any of these deals going on or am I better off just holding onto this plan?

Trying to Port my dad over from Cricket with his iPhone to my TMobile. Going thru TMobile on Twitter. Says he will need to get his phone unlocked by them then they can do it. But in meantime they can order me the $30 sim kit and when that comes in they I can reach back out to them to get number switched over. That all sounds about right?

Just add free line with free iPhone SE on us, of course this will be bill credits but I have plan to stay with them for a while....then this was a slick deal for T-Mobile existing customer..
