kick back does not mean anything to free line as cost can not be less than 0 for any free line lol.
Quote from ugabuga :
This is correct - is appears kickback is taken off on the free lines but the reality is on the detailed bill it isn't.

Does allow person to contact reps every month saying there is an error. Many reps have no idea and will just give a credit.
Quote from calisoldier83 :
Doesn't matter. Free lines with kickback don't get a kickback.
You will get KB on lines 1-9 (Both Paid and Free) once you successfully convert to the 9-12 SoC and they go Account Level. On 2-8 SoC, KB on Free lines are at Line Level so no extra discount.

Did you take two lines or one line? If it is BYOD I assume it is two lines. Once you come home need to call Tmobile to get first line free? If you added two lines are both lines free for two years? Can you explain steps? Also is it guaranteed to get trade in value if we go by Costco route?
I took one line. Before going to costco I contacted T-Mobile customer care and asked them If I'm eligible for the Free Line on us offer. They said I'm eligible. So went to costco and used the BYOD offer and added the line. After around 30 mins I got the message saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility."

I asked a rep and they said I can have 15. Apparently there are multiple configurations for simple choice. If you cancel a paid line can you move the number to a free line?
Short answer, yes.

Long answer, you have to keep your last free line for 1 year, then port out your paid line for 90 days then port it back into one of the free lines

Did you have to tell the Costco rep to add the line as a free line or they did it as a regular addition and it showed as free line on your account, i was planning to head to Costco to do the same as you did.

Did costco charge any fees (activation, sim card etc)? Did you have to bring your device to them at the time? Can you enable the device later?
No fees. Yes, I used the BYOD offer. The device is working great

Interesting and makes me want to move over more now.. wonder if this is for all socs or certain ones. I'm on One.

Just tough to chance and risk losing so much an having to deal with incompetent reps for hours days etc

Did you port in when you called to get the free line or after getting the phone?

I added the free line, 2021 Line on Us 6, on 3/18. On 3/19 my plan switched from Magenta Plus to Magenta Max. All my previous free lines and phone promos switched over automatically as well as my hookup discount. The only thing I had to do manually was activate the 4k UHD video on each line. I can't help you with 9-12 lines question as I am only up to 7 lines.

As always, YMMV.
Thanks! I guess the part I'm wondering most about is switching from the regular (old or new) Magenta to the Magenta Max plan. Anyone have experience with this?

Does anyone know if the sim card is inside the phone box, I bought Iphone 12 from the store two days ago, the rep gave me the phone still sealed in plastic wrap and didn't give me sim card. Thanks.
