If you port in a number, you can take advantage of a number of phone offers (e.g $830 off iphone 12 pro or non pro with expanded list of trade ins)
Thanks for answering. Do you have a link to those deals? I dont see the Pixel 4a5G XL or the iPhone promos. I only see 50% off an iPhone SE with new line.

Have her port her number to GV, give her one your free SIMs and have her forward GV to that number.
Wait 3 months and you can port her number back in.

Is there a reason why the 3 month wait since i dont plan on taking any port-in deals? I was thinking of having her port to ATT or Verizon for a month and port to my free line that i got last year. Thank you in advance.

No need to wait 3 months. I have a few days in the past.
The problem now is nobody knows what will happen to your Free Line if you do it too early.

I purchased a Visible number from someone on this forum and tried to port it to T-Mobile but they're telling me it's a Sprint or Sprint MVNO number.

Checking it on https://www.freecarrierlookup.com/ shows it as a Verizon number. Anyone know why?
All those Visible numbers were there for 1-2 months. Most likely they bought a Boost # from eBay to port into it.
I just ported in a Visible # that was originally from Boost, but went to Cricket, then to Metro, then to Visible. So it's been 4 months.

Some of these available Visible #'s people are offering were Sprint or TMO #'s within the last month . . .and have not been off the TMO network list long enough to be considered a new port in back to TMO yet. I would avoid those offering Visible #'s. No offense, but you are the most likely to have a non eligible port number of all the numbers being offered. Think about it. . .the number needs to be separated from TMO for 90 days but most Visible #'s available derive from a 30 days or less deal grab a free phone and dump the line quick deal. . .and then offer that same number for sale. You might not find out your number is ineligible until a month or two down the road. . .and too late to fix things.

The best way to see it is to go to the phones you're interested in on t-mobile site in incognito mode. You should see the offer and its terms. There are some threads on slickdeals as well.

Same can be said for any of the MVNOs not just Visible. Metro port to take advantage of Cricket deal and vice versa. If T-Mobile really go full enforcement nobody will know for sure if the number will be rejected.
Everybody is talking about all the potential problems. Nobody is offering a foolproof solution, at least not a reasonably price one.

Someone confirmed Tracfone ATT/Verizon can work. But Tracfone TMO will be a MVNO of T-Mobile. Most likely it will not work and I'll not take that risk.
Darn. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the experience. Just curious why you need to purchase another SIM. When you added your ling, you already got a SIM, right?
When I added the line on Thursday, I was able to get the SIM for free with a credit adjustment. But, in-store purchase of iPhone 12 came with a SIM inside which couldn't be discounted. So, I now have one SIM in hand which I can use for another line. 🤷

Thanks for the correction. I missed that BOGO deal.

Thanks for sharing the info. As my understanding, the SIM in the phone should already be covered by phone itself and no additional charge. But not a big deal. Smilie

BOGO deal is not good as this one. You need to add one paid and one free line. You also have to maintain both to get the free line working. If you cancel that paid line, free line will become paid line.
This deal is a single free line. After 12 months, you can move any paid line out as long as you maintain at least two paid lines in your account.
