What is the promo for porting in? I added the free line and got a Samsung Galaxy A71 - it's getting delivered tomorrow. Got it for my mother in law. She's currently on H2O and didn't care about losing her number, so I was just going to give her a new number, but if there's a port in promo I guess maybe there's an advantage for her keeping it. I can't find the info for a port in promo apart from the contract and device payoff things. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!
Check out their website. Most port-in deals would require trading in an eligible phone for a premium tier phone at a heavy discount, depending on the model you trade in.There are deals for S21 series. Since you already got a free phone on the free line, it may involve a bit more work to return the phone if you plan to port and make use of the trade in deal.

I was planning to add a stylo 6 on my new line to get free, in store rep was making up all this stuff of opening a new line for the phone and closing my new free line, luckily they were out so i didn't have to go through reps lies for commissions, most likely screwing w my promo. Should I not even mention the promo and let the system take it off automatically?

I am chatting with T force and the terms that they are presenting is for upgrading a line. Does this seem correct for adding the free line with the free SE promo?

After couple of tries, finally agent changed the SOC to FRLTULFM9 from FRLTULF. But as you mentioned, I don't see new line added(I provided my own SIM) or new promo added. I see all Kickbacks, One plus promos, and device promos intact, but don't any account promos except Insider discount and AAL. Is that normal?

I asked rep difference between FRLTULFM9 or TIULFM9, and he said TIULFM9 is nine lines max, whereas FRLTULFM9 is 12 lines max. I don't know if's totally accurate, but he switched me to FRLTULFM9 without any fuss.

Called yesterday as I was nervous and I guess the first agent mixed things up a bit but the new one tried to see what's happening there.

Account went from FRLTULF2 to FRLTULFM9. Agent said they were doing some "system updates" (yeah right, in the middle of a promotion) and could not do certain changes but will help get things right within 72h.

The promos resurfaced this morning and the new promo line appeared on the account. Feeling a bit better now. Lesson learned though: if this works out it was likely the last change I did to this account. Keeping fingers crossed and we will see 1-2 billing cycles forward what happened.

Doing a trade in with a phone or adding a simple line if you have enough lines left is one thing, but anything changing account settings/SOC codes is a gamble.

Maybe slightly off topic here.
Has anyone converted simple choice to a different plan, say T-One or Magenta and still have all the free lines previously awarded?
I have been reading. As time goes on, it's harder to find someone who would convert existing plan to another grandfathered plan without some pushback about having to transition over to the new plans offered

Not sure about Cricket, but I remember with Visible as long as you got your account # and port pin # from them before killing off the line, you could "revive" that number a couple of months later by porting it out (they shelf the number for 3 months after suspension) without having to pay Visible any money to get the number back. Did so many Visible free phone deals plus BYOD's at TMO and Sprint last year that it came in handy to port out of TMO or Sprint, get free Moto phone. . .and have free parking and a "laundered" port in eligible # to put back into TMO or Sprint a few months later.

Which method did you use to contact the rep? 611 call? Twitter?

You will get KB on lines 1-9 (Both Paid and Free) once you successfully convert to the 9-12 SoC and they go Account Level. On 2-8 SoC, KB on Free lines are at Line Level so no extra discount.
So with kickback at account level when converted to the 9-12 SOC, does it mean all 12 lines will receive kickback on both paid and free lines? That is with the assumption that the lines do not go over 2GB.
