How are we supposed to complete port-in when iPhone SE is on backorder?
You can port in before you get the phone

Is it too late for iPhone 12 promo?

I don't have any phones so I have to purchase one and also port in number.
Swappa and others show you the verified IMEI right after the purchase. Otherwise ask.

I called T-MOBILE and they told me I have to do it in store. If I gs9 from swappa, do they send out imei right away?
You see it immediately on SWAPPA on the sales page after purchase. If you buy from a commercial seller you may have to ask them ASAP after purchase as it may not show right away. For private listings, the IMEI is the first thing a seller needs to enter and cannot be altered and you immediately see it when purchasing.

I've 4 lines added at Costco (2 BYOD, 3rd Line Free and 4th Line $20) during the BYOD $300 promo earlier this month.. With this promo, can i now get a 5th line for free and also get the new BYOD $150 stacked with it? And can i get this all done at Costco?
I believe so. Officially the the wording is no Costco rebates for phones but you are not asking for a costco phone rebate, you will take advantage of the BYOD which is a COSTCO shop card and a different system. So, you should be able to do all that and even take advantage of a phone promo on T-Mobile if you wanted to.

I read that post wrong. IP8 is the cheapest. Picked it up for $155 on the bay to realize the promo was ending tonight and needed the IMEI number ASAP.

The seller didn't respond so had to find a seller that was willing to give the IMEI number once I made the purchase.

Now I gotta refuse delivery on the first phone I ordered on the bay.

All worked out in the end but what a headache.

Free line ends today [reddit.com] so if you're going to do it, do it now. And if you want to do it at Costco, go in and do it now. Take home message: "do it now" aka today!

This reddit thread on the $150 BYOD offer [reddit.com] shows it was valid on 3/17 and 3/18 only.

Your account should qualify for this current free line promotion. If you can't make it into Costco, you can simply add a line yourself online. You'll be charged a $10 sim card fee and it'll appear as if you're just adding a paid line but the free line will be picked up automatically in the system typically when the sim card ships and a phone # is assigned. Or you can call in or message T-Force to add a line and request they waive the $20 assist fee and possibly the $10 sim card fee. Calling in to add a line is no different than you adding a line yourself online; do whatever is easiest and most comfortable for yourself.
The Costco BYOD is valid at least until 3/25. Costco local KIOSK told me the last activation they are allowed to do is 30 min before Costco store closes. If you want to go that route don't go last minute!

Looked everywhere and didn't see it on either the sale page or the listing after I paid.
Depends on the seller, a commercial seller lists category phones (this type of condition) not individual listings. During the day you can ask and I was lucky and got the IMEI in a few minutes.
For after hours it may be better to buy from an individual seller as they have to enter the IMEI first before anything gets started as the SWAPPA systems checks for blacklisting etc before it allows anything on the site. The number cannot be changed by the seller and the seller is on the hook to deliver that IMEI to you and the phone needs to match the condition described. Anything listed as good category should easily pass the trade-in criteria.

There's a reason everyone talks about the iPhone 8 Trade in.
The S9 may only cost $10 more, and nobody mentions it
I think the S9 is one of the best if you want to trade and get a free S21 5G (no number port or new line required), but I don't know many of the other phones though. There, the iPhone 8 will give you only half. So, save that trade for tomorrow. ;-)
