I don't know. I intentionally cripple even my fast wireless chargers with slow adapters. Slower speeds mean less heat and less impact on the battery. Overnight it's still plenty fast enough to get a full charge. At work I use it just to keep it topped off because I use hotspot a lot, and the slower speed is more than enough to keep the battery from running down.

If I find myself in a situation where I need a faster charge, which is extremely rare (that's a major point of wireless charging for me--it keeps me from ending up running on empty) I can always just do a wired charge.

Obviously needs will vary by individual, but I honestly prefer slower wireless charging speeds as a general rule.
I have this and it's worthless. Charges the iPhone really slowly and stops charging after a few minutes so I have to pick up the phone and put it back to restart charging. Also need to place it just right to charge. Have a pretty basic cover but it will do the same without cover. Not happy with it at all.
Overall 4 star product. Read the reviews. Lot of complaints about this device not charging phones.

I'll never buy another mophie product again. I purchased four battery packs (two different models) and two of them would never charge completely. The other two started doing the same thing a few weeks later.

Quick fact - wireless charging waste 40% of electricity to charge your phone. If you care about the environment or electricity usage, you may want to pass..

Have one, this product sucks.

The whole point IMO was to be able to use either in standing mode or flat. When using in flat mode, I had the hardest time getting my phone to align. Apparently you can't just center the phone. It has to be off-center to the top or off center towards the bottom (I believe there are two coils on this thing).

You're better off getting a thinner standing-only wireless charger.

I would argue go charge as fast as you can. Get a new battery every 2-3 years assuming you keep your phone that long. I use a 87w charger for mine at my desk so it will max charge at whatever the wattage is now (and a 20w charger in the living room if needed while outside the office) and I keep it charged between 10% and 90% usually which is what I think they recommend. I never charge overnight, but I can understand why people do for the convenience.

A battery swap every two years is like getting a new phone, and at a dollar a week it's a no brained.

Of course you can get a slow charger and save yourself a dollar a week and not swap the battery.

Phones cost 1000 bucks why wouldn't you spend 100 every 2 years to refresh the battery?

I have a diff model Mophie wireless pad (flat style) and it's the same deal for me. Really hard to align my iPhone 12 on it. Literally impossible when I'm tired and trying to do it from the bed. Worked the same with my XR. Will never buy another Mophie product when this one dies. I only use it as a last resort backup now.

But why.... when as I've explained it doesn't benefit me at all?

On what planet is this worth $60.

$15 seems like a normal price for this

To be fair (and I'm not at all disagreeing with your comment), Mophie is one of those "official" brands sold by carriers. i.e. you'll see them in Verizon / AT&T / T-Mobile / etc. stores. So of course their MSRP's are super inflated. And unfortunately people do pay full price for them at such stores. Kinda like when people buy their new shiny phones from the carrier stores, and end up racking up another $100+ on their tab for a piece of molded plastic and a slab of glass... 😕 (case and tgsp).

But yes, personally I wouldn't value it anywhere close to $60, and $15 only makes it an "acceptable" price for me, not necessarily slick. But I can see why it would be for others. Particularly those who don't understand the need for a certain type of power adapter (since it comes with one) and want to go with a known brand. Despite the reviews and what not. I ended up buying one for my sister in law who will place it on her bedside and never move it again. Ironically, replacing the Mophie charging puck she bought from the Verizon store at the time she bought her iPhone 11 Pro in store. I think she said she paid something like $50-$60 for the wireless charging puck... 😵 💫. And it's the most finicky POS ever, lol.

I do not have this brand of wireless charger, I have the Anker equivalent (goes on sale often for 12.99 ish) and have had no issues with or without a case using the Anker ones.

This works pretty well if you don't have a bulky case on your phone, I had to learn that the hard way when I gave up my Otterbox defender for wireless charging, I definitely think it was worth the tradeoff, wireless chargers are awesome.
Wireless charging uses magnetic flux, that is highly dependent on the distance between sender and receiver of flux, and that it can be tuned when making those semiconductor devices. No two phone is made same, when you consider flux density varies in micron range. This is main reason why you don't want to use generic device (charger) for one specific type of phone brand. If you have apple, I suggest use Apple charger, and etc. If your phone overheats, it has nothing to do with design criteria, magnetic field, and so on, but you just have a junk charger.

I have an iphone XR with a defender pro case or whatever it's called (the one with antimicrobial treatment) and I use an Anker wireless pad every night without taking it out of the case.

Mine is the disc shaped kind that you lay your phone flat on, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I also bought some cheap headphone stand with built in wireless charger and didn't plan on using the charger anyway since the stand was so cheap, but I tested it briefly and it worked on that as well.
Weird... wonder why mine doesn't work

I have a big Otterbox case for my iPhone 12 Max and it works great (vertically too) on wireless charger.

I have had this for a week now and it has been an excellent charger. very sturdy and it has two positions you can utilize, flat and angled to rest your phone on. definitely worth the $15 so far. My one complaint is that it is a standard p;ug-in charger as opposed to a USB, so you lose a little bit of versatility.
