Another edit: In for one. Note the deal is only for the black colored earbuds. Other colors were $24.99.
Quick review: Paired up fine on Android 8.0 cellphone and with an old Android 4.4.4 that is used solely for music/audiobooks. Paired fine with a older laptop running Windows 10 which has a cheap USB bluetooth adapter. Also paired without issue with an Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet.
On Android 8 the earbuds will control the volume slider on phone and will show on phone screen. On Android 4.4.4 its not clear if it controls the phone volume level, nothing shown on screen and phone volume does't appear to change. But volume on the earbuds does rise/lower when earbud tapped once. The button taps take some getting used to. Two taps sometimes triggers the EQ Setting.
The little pamphlet user guide does list a manual reset method for these earbuds.
Volume level, indoors in a relatively quiet room, is plenty loud for me (YMMV). The volume level outside in moderate road noise was acceptable. The mic quality is OK, gets the job done both recording to the computer and when making a call and leaving a message on an answering machine. Others say that while they can hear me they sometimes have trouble hearing specific words due to ambient noise the mic picks up.
On the computer the audio was ever so slightly out of sync with Netflix and Youtube video, some may be bothered by it if the lag is more noticeable on their computer. On a tablet (Amazon Fire HD 10) the audio is likewise ever so slightly out of sync. On things like music videos it was more noticeable.
The extra alternate sized rubber "tips" are in a square hollow portion of the cardboard package packing. Someone not paying attention or not looking for it may not realize they're there and toss the package (and extra rubber "tips"). The manual suggests (and they're right) to give the earbuds a twist when in the ear. Kept them locked in place during a brisk walk.
When one registers the earbuds on Jlab's website one receives a free offer. One can choose from; foam earbud tips (medium), or a sticker, or a headphone display as the free gift. Note however JLab states; "NOTE: Due to conoronavirus restrictions, our offices are closed and we are unable to ship gifts until further notice. We do encourage you to place the order so you'll be in queue to receive as soon as they ship. We appreciate your patience." And the email indicating the order of the free gift states; "ORDER RECEIVED. SHIPPING DATE TBD."
Two issues: The open top case will a turnoff to some even though the earbud headphones are secured into the case by magnets. Figured putting the case in a plastic baggy will solve that issue when traveling or putting the case into a backpack or similar luggage.
Unlike the JLab JBuds Pro Signature Wireless Earbuds where you can turn off the headset with a long press of the power button, the GO Air Earbuds don't appear to have such a option. Instead one either has to put the Go Air buds back into their case or manually break the connection on the computer/cellphone/tablet/etc bluetooth settings itself. Slightly frustrating process to manually break the connection if I don't have the GO Air case nearby.
Overall these earbuds work fine for their low price. Audiobook quality was acceptable, music quality is nothing to write home about, but is acceptable just don't expect stellar sound. Mic voice quality is likewise just acceptable for being cheap set of headphones. At $18 if lost, not out a lot of money.
