Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

I'm not a youtuber, simply created this video for your benefit to maximize the performance of the unit. Here is a link:
https://youtu.be/YklybEdoKIM
"Dell Aurora R12 RTX 3080 Repaste and Fan optimization - Easy 30 degree temp difference fix!"

Enjoy.
You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

https://www.ign.com/articles/dell...-hot-price <- IGN did an article on this already. It was full of $1500 3080 builds and links.

Trust me, these guys aren't shipping. Feel free to reply here with a picture of it actually arriving if you think you can prove me wrong.

Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 32GB (16GBx2) CL16 BL2K16G32C16U4B (Black) at Amazon.com

you have to remove the ones that comes with it, im selling my 16gb kingston btw

Easy. I signed up for the email 10% off, then uses dell financing and got around $150 off, also I removed "1 Year Hardware Warranty with Onsite/In-Home Service After Remote Diagnosis" and saved another $135 off

Thanks OP. I went through chat to get a customized quote for cheaper than this price. Managed to get:

R12 exact specs stated in this post (i7-11th, 3080, 8GB, etc.)
Complimentary 2 years Dell Premier Warranty FREE ($120 value)
$100 off for Dell financing

Total $1815 + tax = $1978 - $100 financing = $1878 shipped.

Planning to sell the 3080 for $1800 and use my 1080 TI instead. PC for $78, wow.

Screenshot attached.
I have a customized quote as well. We're, u able to add any cashback site for additional CB. I am trying to figure that out. What HDD size did u choose in this quote?

Did you test baseline before adding the fans? Curious what the difference is/was ?
Not that you can equate my 3070 to a 3080 exactly, but when I swapped out the AIO fan, front fan and added a third fan (all Corsair ML120 Pros) to my Aurora R10 my Temps equalized between the CPU and GPU at idle with the CPU rising a couple of degrees and the GPU lowering. Under load they both were 10 less than previously though the CPU would hit high 50s and the GPU would hit high 60s. Spikes of 72 lasting just seconds.

I'm unsure of what magic is going on as to how they keep the temps when there is seemingly no freakin room in the chassis, but it works.

Do you still get the Standard one year warranty if you remove the 1 year hardware warranty?
Surprised if there is no warranty if one chooses this option.

Yes - just instead of "in-home" service you get "mail-in" service

Isn't anyone even a little concerned that the made-for-Dell 3080 is smaller than normal and the case is small preventing good ventilation? Also, the cooling is air cool and not water cool? I also heard that it's harder to upgrade components in Dell; do you need to solder things off like RAM or SSD?
No. You do not have to solder ram off anything Alienware, and an SSD cannot be soldered on in a desktop. Both are super easy to replace or add to ( in the case of adding a second hard drive) for much cheaper. Alienware sometimes have a little "proprietary" connector on the PSU from what I read - but like when HP does it, you can just buy an adapter, and the cooling system is sometimes a bit proprietary in Dells in general, but all components should be able to still be switched with minimal hassle. Alienware is Dell's premium line. The components in an Alienware are more likely to be the best and most upgradeable over anything else Dell makes outside of maybe pro workstations or server lines.

So I cancelled earlier order and looks like I could replicate the 1815 deal you got with the additional support for 2 years. That was actually a good deal I think. However, my instant $100 didn't get applied even though the guy said it should take time. Is this true? I thought it was instant.

Yeah, but you could get it for 1815 with 2 years of premium service XD. With 100 off it would be 1815 + tax - $100 instant.
