Amazon reviews seem to show that people liked them except that the soles started peeling off after a month or two of use.

I'm somewhat suspicious of Dickies branding since I suspect it isn't exactly up to the standard of, say, Red Wings or Timberland Pro? I'm a sucker for crush-proof shoes that don't scream what they are, but I'd also like to try to get something with a potential for a long life. (Of course, $25 shoes pay for themselves after... 6 months?)

The Dickies branding on these is a bit over-the-top, but better on the blackout which I'd likely select anyway since I prefer to avoid white sole sneakers.
